Northfield Inn Restaurant & Lounge Bar

Decided to try again after a few years. It seems there was a popular concert at MGM tonite and lots of people had reservations.... We did not. They were OK about accommodating us. We sat at the bar. There were 3 of us. We each ordered something different. Spaghetti and meatballs, lasagne, and a pizza. The spaghetti and meatballs were a large portion. Sauce was just OK but meatballs were good. Lasagne was a good portion. I was told it was good. I got the pizza. My topping were mushrooms and olives. Toppings were OK pizza is big. 3 people can eat it. I thought it was good. The sauce was a bit salty to me. The pizza is thin and it was cooked well. The place is from the 70's. Decor is definitely older but not bad. Just old. The Bartender waited on us. She was super. Overall not a bad experience. We will definitely go back.

My husband and I were looking for a local place to eat last Friday night and decided to give this place a shot. Located in Northfield, near the casino, it is not a fancy restaurant, but it has been around for many years and has a nostalgic feel to it. When we walked in, it was obvious that this is a place where locals go and that they have a consistent following as they had a steady pace of customers throughout the night. The menu is mostly Italian food and the prices are reasonable. There is a bar side and a dining room - the bar is a little more dimly lit. Service was good - we were checked on fairly often. Portion sizes were large. The homemade bread was delicious. All meals come with salad but cheese is extra. I had the fettuccine Alfredo with a crispy chicken cutlet and my husband had the veal piccata. Both were very good. We each had a dish of real spumoni for dessert. I would definitely come back as it was easy to get in on a Friday night and the food was good and it was close to our home.

Yummy & delicious homemade Italian food! This establishment is an excellent place for eating really good food in Northfield. Highly recommend starting with the antipasto salad with their homemade house dressing. It can be split among 2 or 3 people. Love their bread too. I ate one of their homemade pasta dishes and it was cooked perfectly. Meat sauce was yummy! The staff was friendly and helpful. They worked hard to make sure customers had what they needed. Will eat here again when in Northfield!

A throwback to when northeast Ohio was filled with mom and pop restaurants and not everything was shiny and new.Across from the track the Northfield Inn has been serving up cold martinis and homemade Italian food since Eisenhower was President.The veal portions are huge and delicious and the pizza is flavorful, if a bit greasy.

Old school neighborhood find. Chicken parmigiana is awesome! Salads are great! Always seem to have a good crowd. Menu has a lot of choices including seafood options. Great value!

I really love the food, but the service is terribly slow during the day. It's not ideal when you are on your lunch hour.

Wed. Sept 4th, 2024 my Husband I always said we need to try this place every time we go to the horses races. We finally decided to go. The web page said they closed at 9:30. We got there at 7:58. We came in the door no greeting stood about 4 minutes and a blonde came up to us from the bar side and said they were closed at 8:00 PM. I looked at it was 8:03 she said never go by the time on the websiteSeveral people eating. She just lost a customer that goes to several restaurants US wide and tips over the standard rate if good service and food. Your loss !!!

This place has a retro feel and has been around for decades. The food is consistent and reasonably priced. Entrees include bread with real butter and a salad generous portions and friendly service. Features fish on Friday.

Retro atmosphere with excellent Italian food. I ordered eggplant parm with a side meatball. Both were delicious. The bread was soooooo good too. Drinks from the bar were made well also. Service was great even though they were really busy. Would highly recommend.
