Netty's Chili Dogs

I love this place! For years we would drive by after taking the boat to Kelley's but never stopped. I finally tried it last summer and now I am hooked! I don't know how they do it but it is the best chili cheese dog of my life. Not a huge fan of the fries, they are a little bland for me. Cannot forget a malt while you're there, I love a chocolate peanut butter malt! This sounds silly but I got a large ice water to go and they actually gave me a large cup and it was so refreshing. I think they charge a quarter for the water but on these hot summer days it is worth it!

Good food at a fair price. I really like their coney dogs and fries. Also, above average milkshakes. Plenty of outside seating, and clean. I would recommend for a quick lunch.

I was staying in Sandusky recently and passed Netty's a few times. It has such a quaint, Americana feel about it. Right across from a high school and walkup service only. The kind of place you'd see featured in a period piece set in the 70s or something. I got a caramel sundae, which was pretty much your standard McDonald's softserve variety. But I loved it. The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere was so inviting. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

Chili dogs, fries and twist cone. I don't know who is not giving this place five stars. It's definitely not a fancy restaurant but that's not what it's trying to be. It's a Podunk hole in the wall type place. They do chili dogs, fries, and twist cones well.

A long time area favorite. It's also popular with tourists checking out the islands. Netty's is one of those neighborhood food stands. Menu is mostly all hot dogs and ice cream. They also have good slushies. I like finding these neighborhood hangouts. It wasn't busy at all the day we stopped here. My companion wanted something cold so we stopped. It doesn't look like anything noteworthy. It's just outdoor seating only. There's a walk up window. It has some tables in front. We ordered. I got a peach slushie because it was an unusual flavor. It's about $2 for a medium size. This was a decent tasting slushie. It wasn't great but it was okay. She had some ice cream that was something mixed with vanilla. It was reported to be not that bad. This did the job of cooling off. It also has hot food. Most of it is greasy stuff like fries. There was nothing that appealed to us.

We absolutely love Netty's chili dogs and fries. An order of fries is so big we have to share. They also have the best chocolate shakes around. The owners are great people who do a lot to help the community. I don't think I've ever been there when I didn't see them working hard alongside the many teenagers they employ. I wonder how many members of the community can say Netty's was their first job? You have to have a lot of napkins, but they're worth every messy bite!

Good standard grub. Generous portions. Still reasonably priced. Great service, even when busy
