Nelson's Bar & Grill

Great food, great atmosphere. Showed up on a night where they had family feud, the game host was great and the place was packed. Pasta was excellent, appetizers were good. Pretzel was huge and everyone liked their dinner. We always prefer local places over chain restaurants, I would recommend you give it a try.

This review is for Nelson's Bar & Grill, which I guess is somehow linked to Another Cracked Egg?Anyway, I saw a photo of their sausage and peppers with pierogi on Facebook and it looked really good. I decided to order via Doordash. I don't like pierogi, so I requested it be subbed for green beans. Mashed potatoes were the other side.First thing, they did not substitute the pierogi. I don't count that against them because maybe they don't allow substitutions. If not, though, they should remove that option from their doordash listing. I did give the pierogi a chance, but turns out I'm still not a fan of that particular kind of dumpling. Again, not counting that against them as it's my own personal preference.But on to the sausage and peppers...I feel like it was not a good deal. The sausage slices were the size and thickness of coins. Dimes and nickels. And it just didn't taste good to me. The mashed potatoes were extremely bland. I had to add salt and pepper to make them edible. All in all, I don't plan on ordering from here again.

Nice place to stop for a drink. Service was good. The patio was nice and they had a bowl for our dog. Server brought out a pitcher of water specifically for the dog which was very nice of her!

Amazing food and great service!!! They have specials each day and Happy Hour from 2-5pm. Definitely recommend this small local restaurant.

Went for dinner. Weeknight. Clean, good service after we got the attention of the waitresses talking behind the bar. Happy hour is 3 to 5? Happy Hour technically is 5-7. Available to retired people only? Specials were okay. Price was good for the chicken wrap special, and we got a free appetizer for proving out email. Fries were a bit soggy but okay to taste. He had a Reuben that came with....nothing. I had water, and my husband had a coke. With tip, it was $34. 2 waitresses ours was the only one working. The other younger one seemed more interested in talking behind the bar. Only about 9 customers at what should be peak time 6:15. Try a 5-7 happy hour on certain drinks. This will bring people in.

Went there for Sunday dinner before the movies. Not impressed. Ordered the special which was steak and baked potato and salad. Husband ordered a cheeseburger. The salad was pretty good- just a garden side salad but was fresh and blu cheese was ok. Ordered steak medium rare. It came out cooked ok but really tough. Potato was one sad looking undercooked bare smallish potato with nothing on it. Served with a blob of sour cream in one of those cheap plastic containers. I asked for butter. Server brought me a few of those prepackaged pats and left them on the table. I went to apply and one of the little packets was ALREADY opened and used! Weird and scary. The staff did ok but there is only so much you can do with such inferior products. Husbands burger looked pretty good in comparison but he said it was just ok. I brought my steak home for the dogs.

Got brought here by an interesting date. The bartender, Ron, tried to put his own personal Jäegermeister shots on my tab. I caught it and told the server. She was gracious enough to level with him and get them taken off. Always check your tab. I enjoyed my wings.

We were grateful to find a place that kept the kitchen open late, and the food was mostly ok. I would not order the ribeye sandwich again, though it was better next day after being doctored. It looked like ground beef & had just a few peppers & onions, no flavor & the bun was way too thick for the amount of topping. The pierogis were pretty good. But from the one carryout meal, seems an average place that could be a favorite with a little bit more thought. It's probably a great bar!

I love this place, great food, a wonderful atmosphere and fantastic service. Tabby our waitress, was really terrific, constantly checking on us, and informing us of all the specials. The food selection was amazing and gave us so many wonderful options. I chose the sausage and pierogies, and it did not disappoint.

Great service. The Diablo pasta was yummy. We li bees the homemade peanut butter pie. Fun atmosphere!
