Nee How Chinese Food Market

Phenomenal selection for a small market. Expansive selection, multiple Asian ethnic varieties, but primarily Chinese. Also, meats, seafood (frozen) fresh vegetables, including specialties unavailable at American groceries. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. As I cook Asian frequently, I visit once or twice a week. Highly recommended. While there may be a few neutral or negative ratings, that has not been my experience. A real plus: parking is literally a few meters from the entrance, especially convenient.

I understand the price of convenience so I an giving the a few stars for that but $19.99 for a bottle of shaoxing cooking wine is hard to stomach, I needed some sichuan peppercorns which they had but they were low quality and full of the black seeds which need to picked out before crushing, I will put this place in the category of one and done.

Nothing like a giant Park to Shop in Cleveland but has a decent selection of food items for cooking. Sauces, dishes, fresh produce, dry noodles and spices. Not much snack selection. No food ready to eat/grab and go. Not expensive at all.

A great Asian grocery store that has practically everything you need to cook up an authentic Asian meal! They have a great selection of rices, dried and instant (Ramen-like) noodles, candies, fresh vegetables, frozen seafood and other tasty goods! They also sell some nice gift ideas!There's also a huge selection of all sorts of different Asian beers and wines from Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, etc..They also sell Ohio Lottery including Mega Millions and Powerball!The owners are a Chinese couple and they're very friendly people!This is definitely a great place to stop for all your Asian grocery needs. Who wants to drive all the way downtown to Asia Town, when everything is here in North Olmsted?! ^_^

Great store for hard to find Asian ingredients. Great selection on Asian beer and wine. The owner is a great guy.

I live on the west side near this market. I never realized there was a Chinese market here, we always go downtown. Read the reviews and people said how rude the workers there were. It's completely true. My wife and I walked in and ask the guy a question, he gave us smart a$$ answers and treated us like we were idiots. It was about 5pm, not a single car in the parking lot. No surprise. We didn't buy anything and we'll never go back.

Because this Asian grocer is located conveniently, I have frequented it instead of heading into downtown Cleveland for several years now. For the most part, I have found what I've needed , albeit, paying a higher price. Generally, I get good service when the owners of the store are there. However, when I asked the employee (and I call him that loosely because he just sits around and doesn't even greet you or ask if you need any help!) whether the frozen fish was cleaned, he responded "Does it look like its clean?" He's a complete a$$ and has no business in a customer-service oriented business. I also told him that I was calling the store to ask a question before making the trip there but that a recording came on saying that the voicemail has not been set up. I told him about this and his response is that is the responsibility of the phone company and then added that when there are customers in the store, he will not answer the telephone. I was the only one in the store and tested this theory of his by calling the number and got the same recording I referenced. He did not answer the phone (which by the way was not audibly ringing) and added that he had customers in the store - me! I made my purchases and didn't make it to my car before re-entering the store to return my purchases - that's how mad I was! He told me I would have to come back when the owner was in because he could not do a return/refund. I have never heard of anything so ridiculous! Although it will be inconvenient for me to make these returns, I am doing so out of principle. This cashier who is Asian gives the Asian race a bad rap. By the way, I too am Asian. While this store's location is convenient, I will NOT shop there again and I urge everyone to do the same. By the way, I was recently told that this employee is the son of the owner - shame on you!

I opened the front door and a piece of the door frame fell to the floor. The guy behind the counter looked at me like it was my fault. When I pushed the piece of board out of my way with my foot, the guy said, "You don't have to kick it. " I replied, "I wound prefer not to trip over it." Because his tone of voice and demeanor were both very negative, I stated, "You do want me to shop here .... yes? " His reply was, "I don't care what you do." I replied, "I am leaving ... f#*k you." He became extremely hostile at that point. I would never go there and BTW, he put the board back up again to drop on the next customer. I would pass on this place.

I would recommend only going here if you don't see the maroon crossover vehicle in the parking lot. Usually Tuesday is best day to go.
