Mustard Seed Cafe

Due to personal illnesses that I have, the mustard seed has become quite essential within my life for all of my natural needs in order to keep up with my wellness journey.

Only because this is the third or fourth time I I'm annoyed. Dude, a grown man has to order 3x the menu items in order to live... Avocado toast = My kids appetizer. How hard could it be to either A.) Charge more and give a survivable amount of food or B.) Charge less dude, 10 dollars for a single piece of toast someone wiped with an avocado. And a burnt egg. And, potentially a Campbells quality cup of soup. Shocking this continues in Akron, I won't stand for this!Second, not even fun. The GM apparently will call you out for vaping outdoors too. Waitress made that abundantly clear. Feel like I'm in highschool detention. I'll upload photos, not sure I understand the intrigue with this place except it's mostly all that highland square has. No longer my vibe.

This is the cafe above the grocery store and it couldn't be any cuter! The fact that they have a seat yourself and fast casual - go up and pay and grab a number for your table - vibe is so nice sometimes! Endless gluten free, vegan and dairy free options make this such a great spot to bring anyone and the flavors are really great. They have a fresh pressed juice of the day and three meals served on weekends. I want to go back one day when they have music! They have a stage and everything - such a cool spot!

One of my favorite stops in the Highland Square neighborhood.The market has a large and diverse selection of fresh, quality foods - many organic and locally sourced.The cafe has a multi page menu that offers appetizers, salads, smoothies, contrails, sandwiches, sides and more. The Honey Sriracha Chicken sandwich was crunchy, juicy and well seasoned. The bun was more of a roll, very buttery and toasted. The pickles, honey and sriracha are served on the side, so you can add as much or little as you like. I ordered the sweet potato fries and while they tasted fresh, they were noticably undercooked.I ordered the blood orange bourbon lemonade cocktail and found it to be well crafted and very refreshing, especially on a warm and sunny summer afternoon.My food arrived before my drink order, which was less refreshing.Great food, great view, good service. Always worth a stop.

This for the cafe upstairs. Nice place, especially on the balcony. I had the classic cheeseburger, which was good but not worth the price. She had a salad which she loved & was good size. I asked for a diet cola & got a probiotic one. Service was friendly, prices were kinda high but acceptable. The place is kind of a health food restaurant. I'm all for eating healthy, but this was a bit much for me. It was nice. 'Nuff said.

The food is always really good and fresh here! I've been here for both breakfast and dinner and loved both times. The pesto salad is so scrumptious, it is HUGE and is generously dressed. We tried the lychee margarita and it was surprisingly creamy (in a good way), reminded me of how a Brazilian lemonade is blended to have a creamier/fuller taste. It's a versatile environment as I've seen people studying, dates, solo after work drinks, or family outings here.

I love the mustard seed! I've been here for brunch, salad, and coffee. All were stellar. Separate entrance from the grocery store. Seat yourself, and it's clear when you walk in that you order at the counter and they bring food out to you. Huge dining space and good sized patio if you'd rather get some sun outside. It would be a great place to bring a book and I saw several people with work laptops, though there are tvs at the bar if that's more your style. Work sends me to Akron on occasion and i will always make this place the first stop!

First time coming here. After visiting the other Mustard Seed Market, my wife took me here to grab a few items for a Christmas meal project. It's a beautiful welcoming store. Prices here are pretty high but there's tons of amazing things you can't find at your typical grocery store and it's amazing for the health conscious. I really enjoyed their selection of energy drinks as well as their sushi to grab and go. Watch where you park, simply because you don't want to park in the banks area.

Went there for the Sunday brunch and arrived at about 12 o'clock. It took over 25 minutes for my food to arrive and when I got my farmers breakfast, it was as if the eggs had been cooked over an hour ago and kept on warm. The same goes for the bacon and potatoes.What a terrible experience it was

Mustard Seed is such a fantastic spot! The food is really incredible. I love the guacamole and the black bean, beet and walnut burger is hands down my favorite veggie burger anywhere. Everything I have tried has impressed me. The space itself is cool too- you are upstairs with a view of highland square (there is an elevator).
