Mulligans Pub and Grill

We've been there twice. The last time is why we will never return. Food was ok so we decided to try it again. I believe we had the same waitress twice. The second time she took our drink orders and we never saw her again. 40 minutes later someone else took our food orders. Honestly we should've paid at the 30 or 20 mark and left. No one apologized at all. The manager couldn't be bothered to come out and make an apology. I believe the whole issue was due to large parties and overwhelmed the kitchen and waitstaff. This is why most restaurants ask that someone call ahead so this doesn't happen. Wings we had were burnt and tasted horrible. Sandwich wasn't any better. The upcharge for things like ranch and dip is crazy. And the large party that was sat about 10 minutes after us got their food before we did. The food is horrible.

My group of 9 came here on a late Tuesday night where it wasn't as crowded and could seat ourselves. Upon seating, the service was a bit slow overall -- we did not have menus/drink menus until the waitress saw that we needed them way after we ordered our drinks, so that took longer for us to look over things and finally order our food. While the service seemed rather slow, the food was excellent -- I had the Reuben with fries. I have had many Reuben sandwiches in the Cleveland area and I thought this one was top notch. It wasn't too filling, I could actually eat the sandwich without it making a mess, and it was cooked to perfection. The thousand island dressing on the side was an added bonus to the taste. Although I'm not a fan of the type of homemade fries they have, I actually thought they were crispy and decent in the overall taste. I have driven by this place numerous times over the years and have always wanted you go, so I was happy I finally had a chance and glad it turned out to be a great meal. Hope to be back sooner rather than later.

Service was great- had "girl dinner" after a night at the local Lake Erie Crushers ball game. The best part of all the apps was the chipotle ranch that came with the pickle chips. The pepperoni sausage egg rolls were kind of missing some filling. The potato skins left something to be desired- they needed some seasoning, or green onions, or maybe an additional cheese to give them another layer of flavor. The marinara sauce was a little tinny. The chipotle ranch was enough of a draw to almost give them 5 stars. I literally dipped all my stuffs in it!

Family get together at Mulligans tonight. Parking lot was full but plenty of seating. Friendly staff took great care of us. I had their perch sandwich with a side of coleslaw - three pieces of fish it was yummy. Wife had a chicken sandwich also good. See my food photos. Several people had burgers and they all loved theirs. Soup tonight was Italian wedding soup hot and yummy. So it's a 5.

This place is always fantastic. Very consistent and solid. Lucky to have it here in Avon. The Cheeseburger Club is AMAZING!

Again. Great atmosphere. Great bartenders. Good food overall but BURNT CHIPS!!!!!!!!!!! THE CHIPS ARE GROSS!!!!!

Wish I could take a mulligan on this decision. 3 of us were not impressed on our first visit. We wanted to sit outside briefly but the music was so loud we chose inside, which was very dark inside & little cold for the ladies. Server was really nice and attentive, checking back several times. Other than that the food was not great. Floors were a bit messy w/ food too. Chicken Paprikash sounded good but it was too thick, like gravy & super smoky so they must use smoked paprika in the mix. 2 of us shared & couldn't put down half of it. Fish tacos were ok, but the fried onions were weird & gooey, & then the glaze was way too spicy for us. The beefy chili was ok, flavor was good, coulda used more beans as I saw only a few, but it had quite a kick to it so I was hurting a lil. The moms veggie quesadilla was ok but she said definitely no jalapeños next time. Might be worth another try, but we wouldn't repeat any of the items we had this time

Overall, a disappointing experience. My Chicken Philly sandwich tasted like something thrown together at home after running to a warehouse club on Tuesday night--ultra processed chicken shavings from a pre-made kit, undercooked peppers and onions, served on an uninspired and cold commercial bun right out of the bag, and topped with a slice of neutral provolone. The French Onion soup had a similar quality, tasting like boxed broth poured over seasoned croutons along with coarsely cut and exceptionally under-done onions, with the same bland provolone melted on top. On the plus side, we were seated by a pleasant host on a busy Saturday night with a reasonably brief wait. Our server was cheerful and helpful. The house made potato chips were good, as were most of the specialty condiments served with our food. Prices were acceptable. Not sure why this place is as hopping as it often seems.

Mulligans needs to educate their team members who work in the backroom bar about being biased. Additional training is needed. The reputation on the public is that only local patrons who frequent the business get preferential treatment. When you have to wait 30 minutes to get service, it's demeaning.
