Mt Pleasant Bar-B-Q

I always come through when I visit!! I have eaten here over a zillion times as a child and now an adult. Disclaimer : this is the hood family owned restaurant that might not look pretty from the outside BUT the food always SLAPS!! The building is on corner with no parking lot. But there's a lot of street parking. There's no call in orders nor online pickups so you go inside and wait. Depending on the day of the week, the wait might be up to 30-45 minutes if it's packed. So plan accordingly lol. They have BBQ, wings, fish, and also turkey, beef and pork polish boys! You have not lived until you experience a Cleveland polish boy!!! Thank me later I usually get the wings snack pack. It's a wing and fries combo NO Drink for about $8. Delicious I also suggest the shoulder sandwich and the polish boy. Again, thank me later

Just like Whitmore's, Mt Pleasant serves a near identical version of the Polish Boy. The only thing is, their customer service is a lot better. It has the same hand cut fries, covered with bbq sauce on top of a perfectly cooked keilbasa. There's no place to sit so it take out only. And it's lacking the cole slaw as well. Needs a lot more of it. And just like Whitmore's, the fries soak all the bbq sauce, so it would be nice if they would have added some more bbq sauce. Overall a very tasty Polish Boy that rivals Whitmore's as one of the best in the city.

we love the rib tips. thry have great crispy wings.coleslaw is good, and tha sauce is banging. they givevyou a very nice portions.be syre to say sauce on the side because they gave a hefty amount of sauce..

What can I say Mt. Pleasant will always be home to me. I gave it a 4 because the sides have fallen of except for the coleslaw. However the turkey ribs never disappoint. So I'll keep going back.

I've only tried the turkey ribs here but I love them. They have alot of thick juicy meat on them. Good sauce as well. Customer service could be better and the place could use a good cleaning though. My husband likes the pork ribs here so this is a frequent go to for us.

My favorite bbq in period but especially in cleveland ! When I'm in town this is a MUST STOP! I've been eating whitmores/Mt pleasant since I was a kid 30 yrs ago lol and mt pleasant has it right! Last time I had a wing special, long rib dinner both with extra sauce! And a polish boy! Unhealthy however tastes amazing! Saucy, salty peppery garlicy tomoato based bbq sauce is a signature flavor of their bbq! Must try!

I remember going there as a child, always have and aLways will have the Best Shoulder sandwiches and Polish Boys in the city.

The food is always good! I go often! And the people are usually nice. It gets crowded quickly so I call my orders in.
