I had the chance to visit MLH Distillery last night and sample their selection of craft spirits in the tasting room. The building is on Breckenridge St - tucked in behind the daycare. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable - they put up with all of my questions and requests for samples and kept me smiling and in good "spirits"! Samples? Yes samples! You can try a small sample or get one of their delicious mixed drink selections. My favorite is the Amalfi Coast - crisp and just the right amount of lemon. I love the laid back feel of this place. There was no judgement that I was a newbie and I really learned a lot about their different vodkas, gins and rums. They also host a food truck on Fridays and Saturdays so you can enjoy a casual dinner with your cocktail.

Recently had my first visit. That evening they had live music outside (Fawn Todd and Seth Verba). The distilled spirits are amazing. You will pay a little more but the quality of the liquor is well worth it. In addition to their bourbon with lime and a splash of Coke, I had my first smoked bourbon old fashion. It was amazing.

Awesome local hang out spot. The house spirits are of superior quality. The recent addition of house distilled whiskey makes the options even better. The whiskey club is a great option for those who love a regular pour of the amber nectar. MLH partners with local and regional food trucks and restaurants to help with your hunger and have trivia nights for your intellectual stimulation. This is the place to go in GC for a great mule or an old fashion. Limited hours, H/F/S from 5-11, are a bummer but hopefully will expand as the business flourishes.

Definitely not cheap. They have no prices on the menu for any drinks and of course it's about $10 for one drink. As a college kid who just graduated I was drinking my first drink and the owner made me a second one without me even asking and said this one is on the house for graduating. Then charges us at the end for it and didn't even let us see what he charged because he held the scanner. Then they hold the scanner and look at you while tipping so you can only tip 15% and above. No other options below. Never going again and will make sure everyone I know doesn't go. Not worth it when the owner is a professor at a college and rips off young college students like literally went to try and support the locals but to spend $50 on 4 drinks especially when I got told one was free is quite upsetting. Sad that Colorado distilleries have cheaper drinks and their a higher living area.
