Mitchell's Homemade Ice Cream - Avon

We had a chocolate mint ice cream with hot forget for my wife... and their turtle sundae, which had chocolate peanutbuttter ice cream, hot carmel, fudge, pecans wiped cream, and a burgandy cherry It was delicious! the staff was amazing, and the line was out the door at 8:45 and was moving quickly. Chloe gave us multiple samples to try and suggested the peanut butter chocolate, which had the best flavor.Home made ad delicious! Out door seating was cool and quiter, which made the experience even nicer .

Perfect sugar and sweet for all things nice like icecream. We stopped here after dinner and got a sundae to share it was really good and huge portions.

I've been a Mitchell's fan since the beginning when I was kid; my family and I would attend the one in the original Westlake location fairly regularly, especially in the summer. It was a great treat! I would always get the chocolate milkshake. Over the years, though, I don't know what it is, but the ice cream just hasn't been as good as it used to be. I'm big on milkshakes, so I will usually get chocolate, cookies and cream, or peanut butter chocolate. But unfortunately, every time I come here, I'm disappointed in the taste. This isn't the case at other ice cream places around the area that I go to, so I know it's not necessarily me. It sucks that I don't enjoy it anymore like I used to, but not sure what else to say.

Favorite place to go for ice cream in CLE. The lines move quickly, the seasonal flavors are the best do you have a Geauga maple is my favorite in the fall. The downtown location on w 25th or the Van Aken location are my two fav. They have in and out door seating, dogs and kids welcome.

EVERYTHING kicks at this place. Doesn't matter what location. SO yummy...Just stay away from my Banana Cream Pie ice cream - or we're gonna have an issue!

This is the best ice cream around. We are foodies and my wife is obsessed with ice cream. I can take of leave the stuff but I can tell you, this stuff if our favorite. We also recommend the caramel and fudge sauce. They are both out of this world.

Such a cool place to eat. Super clean, and incredibly kind and patient staff. The ice cream is so good, and even a single scoop is enough to feed an adult, they scoop very generously! Very kid friendly as well, with a coloring table for kids and a train that tracks around the building roof area. Just overall a splendid environment and a great place to spend a hot summer day!

Visiting from L.A I was blessed enough to stop by and grab ice cream here! My life has never been the same and I cannot wait to go to Ohio again for this ice cream alone. I even checked to see if they offered shipping to L.A since a few places did this during the Covid shutdowns. Until I am able to visit again I will continue to dream of the deliciousness that I have yet to find anything remotely close to that delicious ice cream out here in L.A

EVERYTHING about Mitchells is 5 stars!! The best ice cream, the best selection, the best ambiance, the best service and the best employees!

While the ice cream is still pretty good, I'm really disappointed they discontinued Rocky Road!
