Cannot believe that I'm the first to review Miss Molly's Cakes! I recently had a wedding a Quail Hollow in Painesville, and was given two vendors that I could choose from to provide the cake that was included with my package (I could choose to find my own vendor as well). SO, I tried the first place they gave me. They made me pay for a sample cake (say WHAAATT?), and then they messed up the sample cake order. Further, the cake was kinda dry. As in, it crumbled when you'd try to take a bite. I didn't want another sample cake as they offered, so I asked if they'd credit me the $35 towards any upgrades I wanted on my actual cake. No response. Three mails to them and NO response. When QH had their next bridal show, I went and tasted BOTH cakes again. Miss Molly's cake had a better flavor, better texture, and she was just so NICE! :) Once I met with her to discuss the cake, I was wholly convinced. I wasn't sure what I wanted - she had a vision, she made it happen within my 'upgrade' budget (because I really wanted sugar flowers!)...and she is seriously an amazing person. I learned this in 30 minutes...because she is sweet, but at the same time, she tells it like it is.Forward to the wedding day. This beautiful cake is there, exactly what we agreed to - split layer white and red velvet. The cake is seriously one of the best cakes I've ever eaten, and days later it is still super moist. (I hate that word...but what other word describes cake!?). Even the frosting is good, and I don't normally like frosting very much!. I truly wish that I didn't live so far away, because every birthday cake would come from her from this day forward. I may have to suck it up and make that happen anyway!
