Miller - Doan Tavern

Cute little place. Clean. Quaint. Small. Cozy. I was expecting a grungier dive but that's not the case. I went on a Friday night expecting a loud atmosphere but it was actually intimate and relatively quiet. The bar is well stocked with a large variety of brands. Creative cocktail menu; disappointing wine selection....The food didn't blow my mind either. Lots of fried options. Lots of cheap steaks. Lots of burgers. Nothing really original or unique or trendy. I'm not saying the food was bad, don't get me wrong. The breaded/fried shrimp I had was tasty and juicy...I guess I was just hoping for a more creative menu. I'm a foodie though...what can I say?I'd definitely go back, and I'd definitely recommend this place!

This is cozy downtown restaurant in Canal Fulton! A pleasant place for drinks and very reasonable prices for a variety of foods! Just stop in or after canoeing down the river from the downtown Canoe Livery or strolling along the shops in the area!This restaurant has increased from a drink and snacks place to a full bar and variety of meals from the menu! They even have an outdoor patio in the warmer weather! Food is great a wide selection of drinks including speciality drinks and wines! Spouse and I decided to order the chopped steak with mashed potatoes and corn! There was plenty of delicious gravy on the potatoes and chopped steak! We was not that hungry, but sure glad we stopped in today right after voting in the election!I guarantee you we both love the restaurant, the food and our friendly, helpful, and fast waitress! A manager/owner check on us too! These people have taken unfair treatment from past YELP! Please stop by and show them most Yelper are fair and honest with all business!

Just do it. You've got to try Miller Doan Tavern. It's become my favorite place for lunch. I've had about a million chicken sandwiches in my life and I'm convinced they've got the best one. Quality, fresh products and you will taste the difference. My person recommendations are the fried pickle spears and the grilled chicken sandwich with their famous fries. The fries people, the fries!!!!!! They have these amazing thin little steak fries lightly dusted in salt and pepper. They ARE the best French fries I've ever had and Im a chubby 35 year old. I've had 35 years of eating fries.They have a small bar and cute outdoor patio. Parking can be tricky since it's in the center of a small town but there is a public parking lot near by. I don't drink but people are always having a beer when I'm there. They have domestic and some fancy ones too. Do yourself a favor and try this place ASAP!

Up until a year ago, Miller-Doan only served drinks and appetizers, but after seeing posts on Facebook, we decided to check them out for their daily specials, which is exactly what we had! Tuesday special is chopped steak, mashed potatoes and corn for $8.50. It was a nice "homey" selection. The red onions in the potatoes gave them a really special flavor. Plenty of gravy and corn The chopped steak was a trifle small but plenty enough to fill me up. I did think that the addition of a dinner roll or slice of bread would have been a nice idea. Our waitress was helpful and friendly, but seemed to be "doing it all", so I'm also happy they weren't busy. (We were there around 2pm) The atmosphere was quite pleasant and the decor was simple but cozy. I've heard they have live music at times on the outdoor patio. Looking forward to trying it out next summer. Check out the menu for other daily specials. Please do not believe the hours of business posted on Yelp!! They now open at 11am! So check a little deeper before passing them up for lunch! They are a special addition to downtown Canal Fulton!

Had the best cocktail I have ever had. Great service! Waitress was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu. Only disappointment was that they close at 9:30.

Delicious food. We stopped here for lunch after bike riding on the towpath trail. The burgers, potato pancakes, steak fry chips, and Mexican salad were amazing. Service was great. The kids also loved their food.

Nice selection of craft beer on tap, and many bottles of others.Friendly staff, Family owned.The atmosphere is more like a nice Irish pub. It's a great addition to Canal Fulton and nice place to sit and have "good" beer.

Such a cozy little bar. Great staff, great food. Highly recommended. The outdoor area is very cozy as well.

Not customer friendly at all , slightly condescending. We were in town for 2 weeks for the birth of our first grand child and wanted to celebrate with the rest of the family 12 people to be exact and we were told they wouldn't accommodate our group because it would take up to much room I guess 12 other patrons money is better than ours .. who knows . Where I'm from that is not a good business plan, 12 people = big $$$$$ CELEBRATING $$$$$$ . 10 locals that are well established in the community and understand word of mouth is a beautiful thing . And 2 that are from Florida and use YELP frequently , yes this will be on YELP as well !! We are a family that spends money , lots of money in our community's we believe in small business but it's difficult to support small business when they refuse your business . We are not shy when we order food , DRINK or when we TIP ... your loss Miller -Doan ... thanks for helping us celebrate new life .. way to be a small business leader !! Let me preficfide this with saying they did offer to sit us all separately and possibly not near eachother ! I hear the food is good .. unfortunately we will never know, there is something to be said for customer service !!
