Excellent food and service!!!! Live down the street and it's always packed! Right in the heart of Amish country!

Great drink, friendly staff, affordable food. HOWEVER They are not following COVID-19 guidelines. Their was no social distancing, the owner got aggravated and made it known to us and other customers because we slightly moved our table away from the table that was less than 3 feet away. I will go back but not until this public health threat is over.

And another decent place to eat in Middlefield comes to my attention. After working in this town for a little bit, I'm surprised at the decent food quality in the area. I live in a much larger metro suburb do Cleveland, and the availability of good quality restaurant food and service are much better than that town. Ambiance is another thing, but honestly, if I have to choose, I'll take good food and service over atmosphere every time. Middlefield Tavern is just what I expected. A dark old school tavern, small staff, plenty of TV viewing available and a pretty extensive menu for a bar. I've even tried a few things here that I normally would never choose when eating at a bar. Specifically, salads and seafood. I got a more than acceptable hose salad with a piece of grilled salmon for around $12 and it was better than I've had at places nearer to big cities when spending double that amount or more. Burgers are good (note medium has come out well done, just be aware), fries are delicious and have been right out of the frier when I've gotten them, and the service has been very good for a place being run by 2 - 3 people. I'll be back to try them again.

Its Middlefield.You want a beer. You want a wooden stool. You want to watch a Cleveland sports team get your hopes up and then dash them at the last second?Go to MT. They've got a good selection of beers and alcohol and no flash. Its a bar. Plain and simple. I wouldn't say a dive, but the hipsters stay clear.Cut and dry place to get your drink on.Cheers

If you want good food and not half assed service go across the street to the Town Tavern

The absolute best burger I've ever had! Fries and onion rings were perfect. Service was on point.

Visit this are every year and this place is one of our favorites. A local bar/tavern with good food at a fair price. Staff is friendly and efficient. Not fancy and has a lot of local customers. Highly recommended.

Love the atmosphere of this place! Foot ball was on all the TVs, chili was awesome, and the kids really liked their food. Service was great, very attentive, and friendly. The only thing that could have made it better was to have had a fire going in the fireplace.

So much cuter than we were expecting!! We expected a hole in the wall grungy bar. This place was so cute and SO clean!! Literally the most immaculate small town bar we've ever been in. The food was amazing and you could tell the lady in the kitchen really cared about the quality of the food.
