Located in the labyrinth that is West Side Market, Michelle's makes for a great stop before getting on with your day. Whether you need to stock up on some freshly baked goods or are looking for a sweet bite, this is the bakery for you. There's a lot look at - the window shopping experience at West Side, in general, is awesome. The chocolate eclairs are like generous, soft loaves of custard-loaded bread. The cannoli has a thin, crackly veil of a caramel cone wrapped around a sweet, creamy cheesecake filling. These are only a couple pastries that Michelle's Bakery serves fresh on the daily. They're delicious and very affordable. If you love them enough, you can even put in a larger order to go... so plan your visit accordingly!

Decided to give them another try after arriving home to find my bakery purchase was extremely stale and inedible on first visit. Several months later same exact experience; looks great in display case but very old, hard and should not have been sold. It would be impossible for them not to know they are passing along dated bakery. I did my part by giving benefit of doubt, second chance and waiting to write review. I'd rate zero stars if I could and will never purchase from this stand again.

It's pretty safe to say that I could not live a happy life without these amazing, fresh loaves of bread. You know what I'm talking about. The kind with the crunch on the outside and the soft, fluffy goodness on the inside. There literally is nothing that compares to freshly baked, local breads. As I tripped and maneuvered my way through a packed Saturday morning at the West Side Market, I wondered if I'd ever find the bread stand I was looking for. That's when I spotted Michelle's... and a lovely sign that says they accept credit cards. Bingo!Although it's a $10 minimum, I never have a problem picking out enough fresh loaves, baguettes and baked goods to surpass that limit. This past time I bought some rustic Italian bread (unsliced), a pepperoni loaf (good god...mmmm) and a pretzel roll. Can I just tell you that if you've never tried a pretzel roll, you haven't lived a full and happy life. Just putting that out there. The service was great for a busy Saturday morning and the ladies behind the counter were very helpful! They patiently waited while I made my selections and even asked if I wanted my bread sliced. Michelle's Bakery is a "must-stop" at the West Side Market if you're looking for freshly baked artisan breads, desserts, you name it. It's also a very dangerous temptation if you're trying to watch your carbs... oh wells.

My first time at the West Side Market, I immediately spotted the chocolate eclairs at Michelle's Bakery. I had to try one, and it was perfect in every way: fresh, light choux dough, a generous smear of gooey dark chocolate on top, and loads of cream -- real cream -- inside. Now, that eclair is pretty much the main reason I go to the West Side Market -- battling the crowded aisles is totally worth it. But arrive early -- I rolled up to Michelle's for my eclair at about 4pm on Saturday, after a late lunch at Nate's, and the cabinets were dark and empty. Total devastation.

Worst bakery and bad attitudes. I bought 20 macaroons and the blonde haired women carelessly put them in an oversized box. She handed the box to me and I opened it and all the cookies were broken and crumbling. I asked for the broken cookies to be replaced and put in an appropriately-sized box and she refused. She was rude and unpleasant. The cookies also tasted horrid. I threw the entire box in the trash. Do not go here.

my friends and i went to the stand at the west side market. we ordered three macaroons and a cheese cake cannoli that had a very unpleasant texture. we were told it was a ten dollar minimum on the cards and when we didn't understand her completely she was very rude and called us stupid. do not go here unless you would like to be degraded.

Best bakery at the West Side Market. I went today (first day open after the fire) because I was going through bread withdrawal. Once you've tried her breads, you will never buy a loaf of bread or rolls from Giant Eagle or anywhere else ever again.
