We got married at Michaud's this past weekend. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The office staff was friendly and attentive. Doris and Christine were prompt at answering any questions we had during the planning process, as well as at the event itself. Our ceremony was in the courtyard, which was beautiful. Everything was set up according to plan and we had no complaints. Our bartenders were phenomenal, as well as the wait staff. I saw the negative reviews others have left about the food, but several of our guests have already raved about the food served at ours. We had chicken cordon bleu, roast beef, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. We left some things behind, and the staff kindly set it aside and Debbie even helped us load it into our car on Monday! We are glad we chose Michaud's and would highly recommend it to others considering this venue!

I have only ever been here for the annual New Years Eve party, but it's a great time! It's definitely an event that you have to plan ahead for ( but tickets and alcohol ahead). It's really awesome because the entire place is open for the event, and there is a band or DJ in every room! The weird part is that you can bring your own alcohol (by the cooler full) and the facilities provides the mixers for you. As far as the meal, it usually sucks, but you're pretty much guaranteed a great time!

Absolutely some of the worst food ever! After attending the second class reunion in 2 years I felt a review was in order. We have been to other party centers and this was by far the worst in terms of food. This year the menu included sliced roast beef in gravy, the beef was about half gristle and obviously been sitting around too long. The chicken was like rubber. And the veggies green beans and carrots were hard and inedible. This place should be ashamed to serve the instant mashed potatoes. The pasta was like a huge glob stuck together. The special reunion cake was good, but I suspect it was made elsewhere. This post reflects the opinions of 9 people at our table.

I waited almost two years to write this review for my wedding and reception at Michaud's Town 'N' Country. 1) I specifically chose the "Grand Ballroom" at Michaud's because I wanted to have my wedding ceremony on the staircase which Chuck (and I think Doris or Deloris is her name--the booking managers) both knew this and we talked through it several times. This space was about $500 more than any other space they have to reserve, and we also had a minimum of paying for 250 heads because it was a large space. We would never have invited that many to our wedding, but I wanted my dream wedding of getting married on a staircase. Chuck called only two months before the wedding to let us know they'd be doing construction on the room, and we would no longer be able to use the stairs for the ceremony (they are tearing them down). I reminded him that the stairs and chandeliers were the main reason we went with their venue and he told me he knew that but they should have realized it was a safety concern and he mentioned the contract we signed states something about construction being able to take place and changes can happen...bla bla bla. He wasn't willing to make any concessions, even though I pleaded they wait until after my wedding, or take some money off of the price since this completely changed the vision of the wedding, etc. I asked to speak to the owner and he said I couldn't do that and they are building a shorter stage in place of the stairs that we can use. I was crushed. 2) The construction of the stage was NOT finished until late afternoon ON THE DAY OF MY WEDDING, which made it very difficult to decorate. In addition, we couldn't use the stage for rehearsal and timing the night before. We had to work like dogs to finish getting the stage decorated on time and the mother of the bride didn't even have time to curl her hair. We would have planned for this if we had known. 3) Doris was always very abrasive and rude. Chuck did the initial walkthrough and contract with us, and then Doris typically came in to play bad cop the following months.4) The outside garden they promised for our pictures was brown and hardly any flowers that summer. It really lowered the quality of our photos. Our photographer even mentioned this. 5) The food was awful. Hardly seasoned and cold. 6) Doris promised I would have an amazing lead host from their staff that day. I think she purposely put someone in charge of my wedding that would drive me nuts all night. This woman couldn't have been more annoying (even guests told me they were annoyed by her voice and how dumb she was). I really wish I could remember her name. For example, a plate of salad with dressing was dropped on the new stage by one of the servers. Our entire wedding party was seated up there for the reception and my brother slipped on the oil even after they "cleaned it". When I told the lead staff person she said they did the best they could with a wet towel but they'd scrub the area better when they took our tables down and cleaned...Keep in mind this was three feet from where the bride and groom were seated. I actually had to tell her if anyone else fell, especially me, we'd have problems. She did send someone else with cleaning supplies to take better care of the oily spill.7) My favorite song was scheduled to play at the end of the night. My DJ cued it up three minutes before closing time. The dance floor was hopping and my husband and I were having a ball dancing to our favorite song. Michaud's literally cut the sound off and would NOT let us finish the song. It's a 4 1/2 minute song that was more than half way through. The DJ couldn't even thank everyone for coming. What an awkward way to end a wedding.I couldn't have been more displeased with Michaud's. Every word here is true. There were many other things my family and friends mentioned to me, but these were the bullet points that stick out in my mind after two years. I had to work so hard to not let Michaud's ruin my spirits on my wedding day. PLEASE use caution when choosing this venue. The price is reasonable, but the service is terrible, and they will not be flexible to make you happy. They do the bare minimum, and always make you feel like a pest when you call and ask to see the space again, or plan things out. I never was aloud to speak to the owners when I asked, but I hope someday they read this review. Aug. 11, 2012 was our wedding date in the Ballroom. Also, isn't it strange that Michaud's doesn't have hardly any reviews on Yelp but they've been operating since 1933?

Had my wedding reception there and the price for what you got was fantastic! The leftovers didn't last long because everyone wanted it :)

Our experience at Michaud's was awful. We attended the New Year's 23-24 party. The food was terrible and they were short-staffed. The dishes sat on our table long after we were finished eating. When the staff did come around, they threw away two bottles of our wine that were nearly full! We could not believe it when we came back from dancing. There was a thin, long grey haired lady just walking around, bossing the few employees they had. It's no wonder they weren't fully staffed. Who could tolerate that? Why didn't she help with the mess? The bathroom stalls were so tiny that you could barely turn around to flush the toilet. And I'm not a big person. I cannot imagine what a large person would do. You are literally face to face with the door when you stand up. The bathrooms were filthy, as well. I had to try to find a clean area where I could scrape the toilet tissue from the bottom of my shoe! It's a good thing someone told me before I left the bathroom! We will definitely find a better place next year!

The Michaud family genuinely cares about their guests. I have attended numerous events catered by Michaud's over the past 30+ years including more recent weddings and parties. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed. We have always had a good time at Michaud's. The events were well organized and their level of service is exceptional. Excellent food selections served hot. They are very conscientious in listening to our party and meeting our needs every step of the way. I highly recommend Michaud's.

Went to A NYE Party here...Worst Food Ever. The Meat Was Dry And They Served Something That Looked And Tasted Like Mush. I Honestly Don't Even Know What The Mush Was. The Salad And Rolls Were The Only Thing Edible. The Ticket Wasn't Worth The Price.
