Meet Me At Irene's

I had lunch with my friend here Wednesday and it was a good experience. Her pancakes and sausage were great! My omelette and hash browns were okay, but I won't order it with provolone again - the flavor with the egg wasn't a favorite. The rye toast, though, was hot and tasty. The server was professional and our food came out in a timely manner. The restaurant was clean and well maintained.

Corned beef hash was homemade, but 85% plain unseasoned potato with just a couple pieces of corned beef. Really cramped and not very attentive waitstaff. Friendly, but disappointing

Food was very good, large portions. The service was ok but only semi-attentive, however, not very friendly. Spent time with people at other tables who were obviously regulars. Decor is cute. The restaurant is very small so expect a wait.

Small, cozy, busy just the way I like it. Fresh food!Excellent service! If you have to wait to be seated, be assured it's worth it!

We went today for the first time!.. I don't know which was better.. The food, or the staff!.. Our waitress, Erika was phenomenal!.. She is so cute, funny, and efficient!!.. 100% will be back, and will spread the word!!!...

What a pleasant little surprise. We were headed back from an event at Maize Valley and wanted something to eat. Hopped on the YelpMachine™ and it directed us to Irene's. Old school diner feel, lots of what I assume are regulars filling all the tables. Our three top had a very short wait, and then we were shuttled off to a back booth. I think there's one, maybe two women running the whole place, which made their speed of service even more impressive. Asked what was good, and both the server and a food runner said the cinnamon French toast. The server said, and I quote "if I could marry a food, that would be it". With a recommendation like that, how can you say no?It didn't disappoint. It's French toast made out of deconstructed, thick, gooey cinnamon rolls. It was so good, it didn't even need any syrup added. Just put a little real butter on top, and went to town. 9/10. Though the French toast was the star of the show, the table also got an omelette, rye toast; some homemade corned beef hash, and bacon. I asked for the bacon to be crispy. And they didn't disappoint. It also was THICC. My guess, from a local farm. Overall, Irene's was a fantastic surprise. Not in Hartville that often, but you can bet your backside I'll be visiting this place again when I am.

Cute place at the end of the plaza. The servers were friendly, and the food was made perfectly to order. My friend and I got the same dish - 2 eggs sunny side up with bacon and home fries, side of rye toast. The thick cut bacon was perfection- I asked for extra crispy and they delivered! My rye toast actually seemed like a heartier thicker slice than average. The home fries (again I asked for extra crispy) may be the best I've ever had. Crisp on top and soft underneath - I was almost certain they would be hard and dried out but nope- perfect! The place was clean and well spaced for social distancing. My only regret is that I haven't been going there for years! I will definitely be back!!

Super fast. Exactly as we ordered it. Delicious biscuit and gravy. Great roadtrip resto.

Friendly staff and good food! Great breakfast place to get your day started. Small but cozy.
