Matus Winery

We loved this winery - no weird after taste - no syrupy ending. Just good wine. Our absolute favorite was the T Blush - so good. It's new but AMAZING!! No food - just snacks. They do allow outside food. Will DEFINITELY come back ! Woot!!!!

Awesome place for a relaxing night outI always forget how nice it is here. If you visit on the weekend they usually have a band and if the weather permits fires outside. The outdoor area is really nice and great for bringing a group to socialize or just hanging and listening to the music.They also usually have some sort of food truck style food on the weekend. Plus lots of wine to choose from. Try purple haze - a family favorite. I'm sure after COVID times they will get back to their special events - car shows, yoga, etc.

Two words- Purple Haze. You'll want to drink this s l o w l y. Its addictive! I really love the atmosphere here. Very casual and friendly! Their Pink Catawba is also a fave. The pavilion on Saturday nights usually has a band, we saw a great Elvis impersonator his name was Jason Griffith! It's a great place to wander out and look at the stars.. family run and a homespun feel. You'll find me barefoot dancing amongst the vines. Heaven on earth.

Haters gonna hate. This place is a gem in the middle of nowhere (Wakeman, OH) I've heard good things and finally got to check it out for myself and see how fun it is! They had an awesome live band called Soul PropRioters playing on the patio (A 60 degree day in January!) The trumpet, sax and oldies oh yes. The wine was good and tastings are just 50 cents each. I am a big fan of reds. They also have wine slushies, yumm.A great atmosphere and excellent service. They have deals on pizzas too for just 8 bucks. Can't wait to go back and get my groove on. :)

This Winery was okay. I loved that it's local and it had a really relaxed feel to it. When you arrive, you see the rows and rows of grape vines so you know you are in the right place. They offered a pretty good local wine selection and some food choices as well. It was pretty affordable too. I am personally lactose intolerant and there were absolutely no options for me, each one had dairy. Good thing I ate before I went there! I chose the Pink Catawba wine and it was pretty good! It was sweet with a little bit of a bite. For someone who doesn't always drink wine, it was enjoyable for me. I probably won't make another visit here but I'm very glad to say that I made a stop here.

It's been a long time since I've been to Matus Winery due to living out of state. We recently moved back and my husband and I have been trying to go out once a week. We were trying to think of something different besides the typical dinner so we decided on Matus. There was a music performer and he had a great choice of music he was playing. We went on a Thursday so it wasn't overly crowded. I tried the Purple Haze for the first time and apparently I have been missing out. It was so good! I also love the Pink Catawba. The winery is a cute little homey place. I love it here and wish I came here more often. I will definitely have to go back again and get some more Purple Haze.

If you like jello Wine shots you'll love this place. If you want a good wine to enjoy a nice evening skip this place and go to Vermilion Valley.

Good wine good entertainment at selected times. Can get a cheese plate or bring your own food. Nice place

Love Matus Winery!Kelley and Bob are great!The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing and a great way to spend the evening with friends and family.I highly recommend this place! Wine is award winning also!! Can't go wrong with that!
