Mary's Diner - Concord

Nothing homemade about it. Fake butter and syrup. The hash browns are the same shredded potatoes you'd find in a grocery store. It looks like a cool 50's diner designed by a corporation.The coffee was so bad, my wife walked across the parking lot to get Starbucks.Including us, there were only 5 people in the restaurant, yet our food was barely warm.The service was good.In summary, don't expect Mary to walk out of the kitchen and say hello. This is a local chain designed by a corporation to sell cheap, underwhelming food to families.

The menu had a good variety and decent prices. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Really cool setup and decorative. We ate in the mock train car section which was neat for our first time there. We were told this was one of 3 locations (Madison and Ashtabula). The quality of the food was perfect. I brought my own 100% maple syrup because very few places offer that (have you read the label on your syrup?).My wife enjoyed the place so much she took our daughter a few days later when she came to town. To friends of mine went there after I told them about it and loved the place as well. It may not be the closest place to go for people in Mentor, Ohio but it's well worth the few extra minutes to get there. Please offer real maple syrup is my only suggestion.

What a great place to eat! Wonderful 50's atmosphere, friendly service, great food, immaculately clean and affordably priced! The chicken fried steak is the best you'll ever eat and the signature pork schnitzel is a must try if you've never had it before - delicious! Can't say enough positive about Mary's Diner

I went to a late lunch with my coworker at 3:45 pm. There was only one other table taken. We were seated right away and given menus. Our server came right over and took our drink order. When she arrived with our drinks, she took our order. After a short wait, we were served our meals. I ordered a cup of the cream of potato soup with the open-faced turkey sandwich. My coworker went with a cup of chili and Mary's big egg bowl.My soup was good, it was flavorful, and didn't need any extra salt or pepper. I was told the Chili was good as well.The open-faced turkey sandwich was good, the turkey was tender and juicy. There was only one slice of white bread underneath and that was fine, my only issue was there wasn't enough meat. The turkey was the star of the show, there just wasn't enough meat for what was charged. The mashed potatoes were creamy and cooked well. The gravy was tasty as well. Overall this is a good dish, if it had more meat, it would have been great.My co-workers egg bowl was very filling, it had everything in it. The flavor was spot on, and she was happy she ordered this.I have been to Mary's in the past and will return in the future, it is comfort food in a nice environment. The inside of the restaurant is very cute, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

We had a great breakfast. The place is spotless and the servers were friendly. The old Aluminum dinning car was fun. We would recommend!

Mary's Diner is always exceptional in both food and service! I'm a Jersey girl, so I can be picky about my diners, but Mary's always knocks it out of the park. My partner and I came in for brunch and were taken care of by Susan. She was always attentive and cheerful, and made good conversation while we ordered and waited for our food. She even gave us to-go cups for our coffee as we were preparing to leave! As for the food, you can't go wrong with classic diner food, and Mary's has found that sweet spot at a great price point. The restaurant itself is also delightfully charming, and its retro theming and decor are matched perfectly by the music playing throughout. If you're looking for a great place to eat with good service that won't break the bank, this is the spot for you!

Never had a bad meal at Mary's , home style cooking, good variety, pleasant waitresses

This is a must stop. The 50s style atmosphere is very energetic. The looks and sounds of this diner immediately make it a different experience. Everyone working there was very friendly and welcoming. Most importantly, the food was excellent. Mary's scrambled eggs with sausage, peppers, and onions was great. The flavor was very good. Hash Browns were cooked perfectly. Bacon and eggs were good. We also tried the sausage gravy and biscuits. Gravy had great flavor and the biscuits seemed fresh. Everything was served hot, which isn't always the case. Lunch and dinner menu looked very cool. We will be back for sure. I recommend a visit here.

Food and service here were phenomenal. Decor is 50s pretty good pretty interesting cannot do anything but recommend this place highly

Atmosphere was great for reminiscing. My wife had the perch dinner and went with breakfast with Mary's Mess and open omelette. The perch was fishy tasting. She had the toasted Brussels sprouts. They had very little taste unless salted. Mary's mess was good. I threw in a chocolate milkshake. It was a little too rich as it was made with chocolate ice cream. Prefer it made with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup.
