Market District Solon

Had to find a store to grab something quick. Periodically, take trips to Ohio and not real familiar with my surroundings, I came across this store because it was closest to my location. They have a lovely entrance and with so much to look at. I found this store to be very organized, clean, and very well stocked. Purchased through the self-checkout which took no time at all. A very helpful employee was there to assist if needed. As I was leaving I noticed a price error on my receipt, bought this to the attention of Patrice, the employee monitoring the self-checkout. She looked at my receipt and with a sense of urgency, walked me over to customer service. She took care of it with no problem. She has great customer service skills and a friendly attitude. Great experience!! I just wish we had one here in California.

I had requested a Cinco De Mayo themed Birthday cake for my Mom's party. A young lady by the name of Tyresha in the bakery made this beautiful cake, my Mom was so happy. So if your looking for someone to do and awesome job, her name is TYRESHA.

Akron Honey now sells it Wildflower honey here. I came in to purchase one. The 11oz bottle is nice. Hope to see the Habanero and Bourbon Barrel Whiskey flavors soon.

I'm a fan of the Market District concept. I love the large stores with a huge variety. I can't however give them 5 stars because for so many items they are more expensive than other places. There are of course deals to be had, and the prepared food selection is usually pretty great. Cashiers and other staff are always super friendly and helpful, although I have started using scan and go. There is a Starbucks, dry cleaner (taken off site), and bank branch here as well as a pharmacy, so you can check a lot of items off your to do list pretty quick.Parking is ample and the carts rarely have bad wheels. Be sure to stop by for a shopping adventure soon!

This is the main grocery store we go to when I'm in town visiting my parents. When I was growing up, it was just a Giant Eagle, but it's been completely redone now. It's a lot nicer now. There are more prepared foods. They have a liquor store inside now which is really convenient. Overall, you should be able to find anything you need here. It's well kept up and well stocked. They have self checkout which is the only way I like to check out. They also have the best gas rewards you'll find at any grocery store. The only thing I really don't like about it is how crowded it is. It seems to be a zoo every time we're in there.

Nice clean store. Good selection of somewhat overpriced produce. I usually go there for the beer and wine.

The way a business handles phone calls tells a lot about the way other things are handled by the business. Market District will field your call in a professional and courteous way, and you won't get stuck in an endless phone tree system with all of those annoying, irrelevant choices, or maybe worse, a voice detection system that doesn't understand "yes", or "no."It's true. You can call and talk with a real person here. And, as a bonus, they're actually VERY good at getting you the information you need in a pleasant way. Thank you to the management and professionals who work at this store and handle things in the way you do. You're setting the bar for Customer Service on the phone.The store is pretty amazing too. Very large and well stocked with a large variety of proteins, vegetables, and other items that should satisfy the pickiest among you. Checkout is not the greatest. Self service is cumbersome, and personal checkout is slow. Overall, Market District provides a very good experience. It has peaks and valleys, but in an industry that operates at slim margins, they do a respectable job. My experience with them on the phone has been better than any retail operation I've done business with. Take note Heinen's and Nordstrom.

I absolutely LOVE the Market District in Strongsville. So, I just assumed that Market Districts would be similar. Well, you know what they say about assuming.....The pros of this location? They have a nice outdoor patio and plenty of parking. The flow of this parking lots is fantastic and it is in a great location. Easy to get in and out of too. I love the fit and finishes on the inside of this place too. Very upscale and clean.Sadly though, overall I was thoroughly disappointed with this place. It is small, has an absolutely horrible setup and their cafe is really lacking. Their alcohol section is about 1/2 the size of Strongsville and their prepared foods section pales in comparison. To top it all off they close their top floor dining area of the cafe on the weekends. WHO CLOSES THINGS ON THE WEEKENDS? We stopped in to eat and had no where to warm up our prepared foods. We had to ask an employee where the microwave is. They they told us to quietly sneak upstairs to use the microwave and then come straight back down. Am I a child in school? This is like a murder mystery dinner waiting to happen!Dude, this location makes me sad. If I am going to pay the premium prices that Market District charges....then I want to feel like I am getting my Benjamin's worth. BOOO!

Giant Eagle Market District in Solon is the biggest Giant Eagle I have ever been to. I usually shop at the one in Bedford but decided to check this one out instead because I needed to get a cake for my niece and nephew's birthday party and I thought they would have more options because I heard it was a larger store. Boy was I right. The employees working in the bakery department were extremely helpful- working with me to figure out the right cake for my last-minute party. They were even able to decorate it on the spot. Another thing I really appreciated about this GiantEagle was the fact that they had actual living cashiers. Not just the do it yourself lanes. I'm so tired of having to scan my own groceries. I'm not lazy I'm just slow and not very good at it! And my cashier must be really good at Tetris because she managed to put over $300 worth of groceries into six bags. I was impressed and it made loading and unloading the car super easy. cred to Daphane C.!

I like this store. Very convenient hours(they open 24 hours). Big variety of products. Very good bakery. Their meat and fish departments are producing very good in-house items such asslab bacon, bratwurst and lox with everything spices.Their pharmacy prices are cheaper then CVS or Walgreens .
