This I thought was a new winery. We've been to the area 3 years in a row. We never heard of this place. We checked the place out. It's different. It's attached to their house. It's a small area where you can sample wine, and relax a little bit.I had a conversation with the locals about the Cavs Basketball. When you ask for wine they seemed really confused, and kept looking at their sheet to see where it was located, and if a bottle was opened. The amount of wine they provide to you for wine tasting is a lot. They really take care of you. We purchased 2 bottles that was nearly $70. The wine is good, but a little on the pricey side for the area. Overall I was happy with my experience.

I can't believe I have been to Geneva a handful of times and had no idea this place existed. On a recent wine trail this easily became one of my new favorite wineries. This is a small shop and they do everything on their own, bottling, adding labels etc... They are a very small shop that started out in the garage of the owner. They even have a cute dog that welcomes you to the property. Their seasonal spiced wine was delicious and my favorite of the wine trail. They serve it warm and I could see myself drinking too much of this. I am excited to visit again on my next trip to Geneva.

I am astonished by the reviews thus far. This winery is run out of some guy's garage (and it feels like it). While my wife and I stoped by every time a customer ordered a bottle he had to run to his basement to get it. His prices are unrealistically high for even the best Ohio wines and his is not one of them. Rather than pay the $70.00 (not a typo) for his chardonnay (but ONLY $40.00 if you join his wine club) we opted for two glasses. While there is worse chardonnay in the area (Deer's Leap and any place in Geneva-on-the-Lake) I would rate him a distant last among the Madison area wineries. Don't waste your $$$ here. There are indefinitely better options close by.

Maple Ridge Vineyard = hidden gem. My husband and I discovered this small winery on the Vines & Wines trail back in 2009 and after 2 years of tasting what I think to be the best wine Ohio has to offer, we can't think of any better place to get top notch Chardonnay and Cab Franc in Ohio. Jim and his wiffe Patty, owners of the winery, are some pretty damn good winemakers who really know their stuff. They've somehow managed to craft an amazing Chardonnay that constantly blows my mind. My husband and I have been members for 2 years and no matter what we drink, we're never disappointed by Maple Ridge. If you consider yourself a wine aficionado, or just likre a damn good glass of wine, get yourself to Maple Ridge--with a quickness.
