Manhattan's Pub N' Cheer

So I've been waiting to come to this place!I finally got some friends to come and we came on a Sunday when it's a an all you can eat buffet. Well I was not that hungry, so I ordered a Bloody Mary. What an awesome Bloody Mary! The staff was good and the drinks were served fast. I'll have to come back in a normally menu day to try out the food.

Wow. Can't wait to get back to Manhattan's! The food was excellent. Might be the best cheese curds I've ever had and the Reuben and Mac N Cheese were close as well! Love music was the bonus, great atmosphere!

Chilli Mac is as great ! Good size portions ! Loud atmosphere, not for a romantic date but great for good food. Service was good . I will repeat for a quick bite

I don't see why they're not closer to being #1 I had the opportunity to enjoy my first lunch date with a friend. At first I thought, the place wasn't going to have heavy foot traffic on a Sunday. I though wrong -- people kept coming in.I had their vegetable beef soup and a garden salad with balsamic dressing. My friend had their (not so nacho) macho nachos, lol. It wasn't so nacho because he's lactose intolerant but, love nachos. Therefore, he ordered cheeseless nachos and loved it. I would totally recommend this spot, especially for brunch on a Sunday.

This was an impromptu work dinner for like 10 people on a Monday night, not easy to find a place that will take a large party on a Monday. This was a great choice!Service was fantastic, food even better and the drinks helped bring everything together. We ordered a few different things to share on the table, the poutine was rock-star, meatballs were delish, nachos were really good...everything actually!I did a roasted veggie salad which was way better than I was expecting. Cooked well, fresh vegetables, served with some nice sides..it was very good. Everyone around the table was happy, food came out pretty fast and for everyone..didn't leave people waiting. The service was top-notch..even met the owner.Family restaurant that cares about what they do! I will definitely come back and most likely to try the carrot cake which I hear is awesome! So, this place can be a little inconsistent...We went here quite a bit for dinner a few years ago. Started off being an amazing place. Great steaks, fish and chips, homemade soups, etc. Little by little, things started to go wrong. A few times the hostess lost the reservation, the steak was cooked wrong or full of gristle, the soup of the day was literally the soup of ONE day (they had this amazing sausage and cabbage soup ONCE and never had it again). The other random Friday or Saturdays always had the same soups. I ordered a Boodles martini (very happy they had this gin as it's my favorite!) and was brought a Belvedere vodka martini. I know it was Belvedere because I asked her what she brought me. The waitress argued with me, saying that I specifically requested Belvedere vodka. Anyway, things went off the rails, so we stopped going. That changed about a month ago.Went there for lunch a few times and each meal was really nice. I had a Reuben on one visit and then I discovered the Kong smash burger...So, the smash burger is a generous portion of really nice ground beef. It's smashed on the flat top and cooked just right. It's well seasoned comes with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. Condiments are of your choice, served on the side. Not sure if the fries are extra, but don't skip them. They're fresh cut fries that are always crispy. Really nice.Our waitstaff was always nice and attentive. Not too pushy, but just right. So, can't rate the place for dinner, since I've not been there for that meal in a couple of years. From memory, you can do better. That said, if the hostess/reservation issue was cleared up, that's a huge step in the right direction. If the argumentative waitress is gone, that's another step in the right direction. If the soup of the days are back to being really excellent, random soups and not soups on a scheduled rotation, another step. I'll have to report back about that. Can't go wrong for lunch!Oh, I haven't been for some time for Sunday Brunch, but I can attest that it's a great brunch!

My bad my bad. I've been meaning to update this review for a while. So now that covid is under control they are now doing the breakfast buffet again on Sundays. Controlled by staff which I think is a good idea. Service is still questionable. Its not hard to juat refill drinks or put drink orders in. So they only get bumped up one star. The food still isn't consistently hot. You might get something warm if you're lucky. Has a great selection of breakfast and lunch options however the lunch options don't taste very good. Flavorless mashed potatoes or macaroni and cheese. Chicken with not great amount of seasoning on it. I would just eat the breakfast items and get the free mimosa and call it a day. They do have a full bar open during brunch on Sundays but every time I call regardless how many days ahead they never seem to have any seating. Up to you

The food was pretty good and it's a cool place. Prices are fair but wow does it take a long time to get service. 2 sandwiches and a peroghi took 30mins to arrive at the table. Skip it unless you have time to wait.

A downtown place for dinner and as we did Sunday brunch, which I will review. The Sunday buffet here is very popular so I recommend reservations if possible. A nice venue with a large bar and moderate seating area. The ambiance is nice , kind of rustic bar like. The buffet starts at 10am and consists of both breakfast and lunch items. On offer on our visit , scrambled eggs, spinach quiche, bacon, biscuits and gravy, bacon and in house made kielbasa and sausage mix, the lunch side had , mashed potatoes, gravy, carrots, green beans, mac and cheese, a weekly entree, turkey and dressing, ham and roast beef, omelette and waffle station and a nice dessert selection. The good was good and tasty, portions are small , but don't hesitate to ask for more from server. The price is $25 and included a mimosa. A really nice place to start a lazy Sunday with family and friends, recommend 100%

Ladies and gentleman, I would like to highly recommend Manhattans. We had excellent service for a group of 8 people and the food was excellent. From the Margherita Pizza, Chicken Marsala, Reuben, and Bruschetta, Cheese Curds appetizers, we were all impressed and happy! Excellent location w live music and a local Toledo feel and hometown atmosphere. Highly recommended!
