I have been patronizing the Mandarin House for years and I thought I'd update my review based on my recent experience here. The interior has been remodeled. Yes, the wall fountain remains and the pool greets you as you enter the front door. There are black-lacquered tables and bamboo shelves with pops of swirled aluminum accents. The booths have pumpkin and beige colored block suede backs that reflect the glow of the sunset-colored windows. The pendant lights are a modern version of Asian paper lamps that give the dining area an upscale feel. The food here is amazing! The chef will prepare your meal to the perfect spiciness upon your request. I especially like the Moo Shu Pork with Duck Sauce (tender, chewy pancakes are the bomb) and the Kung Poa Shrimp (extra spicy with peanuts). The appetizers are so good we sometimes don't order dinner! Crab Rangoon, Spring Rolls, Egg Rolls, Crispy Won Tons. I love drinking Sake and Plum Wine here, though there isn't a separate bar - sadly it seems that the restaurant space is too small to accommodate a bar.The service is excellent and the staff makes one feel at home. There is a beautiful water feature located outside of the entrance to the restaurant which adds to the allure.

This is our go to place for Won Ton Soup. It's the best. I cannot seem to get past the Vegetable Egg Foo Young when we go there. I like it with brown sauce rather than the traditional white. Service is good, the environment is clean yet out dated. We have been going there for years & have not found a Chinese restaurant that we like better in this area.

Best food ever! Ambience wins a gold star only to be put in second place by the quality of the meal and the staff!

Great food and service. It's a small family owned restaurant! I highly recommend going there.

My family got take out from here last night for dinner because our favorite Chinese place is closed currently. Honestly, I was disappointed. This place has come with great recommendations, but it was less than average. I feel like Panda Express is better than this. The potstickers were good! But I feel that everything was under-seasoned and bland. The beef was really chewy, and the noodles lacked flavor. On the bright side, placing our order and picking it up went very smoothly and the employees were very nice! The food was just disappointing.

The ambiance gets an A plus. There are holiday lights outside, a rock garden with a waterfall inside and perfectly selected music playing softly inside. This is a great start and a romantic atmosphere.I ordered Moo Shu Vegetables. The meal came with white rice and a generous potion of fresh vegetables perfectly cooked, including broccoli and carrots. The plum sauce was a little shy, but acceptable. The service was excellent. The Server was dressed up, polite and checked back on the table several times.Looking forward to going back to order more Vegetarian choices.

First time trying Mandarin House. I ordered a carry out meal with crab rangoon for my appetizer and shrimp lo mein for my entree. The crab rangoon wasn't bad and gave me high hopes for my main dish. I knew something was off when I opened my shrimp lo mein and found what looked like murky dish water, shrimp, and unappetizing noodles. I took one bite and trashed the rest. I won't give this place a second try or even a second look when riding past next time. Yuck!

Went with a family party of 9- my brother got the won ton soup; said it was good but tepid. Ditto for the rest of the meals- my broccoli and rice were barely warm. Sesame chicken was a little hotter. My husband got the Mandarin shrimp, which he liked, but like others have mentioned, the "Mandarin sauce" is basically ketchup. I would definitely go back and pick up some Crab Rangoon- it was the best I've ever had. The restaurant could use a facelift but start with fixing the air conditioning.

Had dinner this evening with family. Food was very good, except by wontons soup was not very hot, everybody's soup was very hot and good. Dinners were very good and adequate. Waiter was. Very good and had a good sense of humor. The best part was my son -in law picked up the tab. This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the area..
