Hadn't been here in a couple of years and recently tried it for lunch. (Previously had enjoyed it for breakfast.) It's a no-frills diner type of atmosphere and the main area is bright with lots of windows. There's a small room on the opposite side of the entrance that's less welcoming but also more private. It was rather odd that there were windows and curtains next to our booth but you could only see a concrete wall. Oh well. I'd been here before and wasn't really put off by it because I was anticipating a good meal. Our server was very friendly and efficient. I ordered a Turkey Reuben (only a corn beef Reuben was on the menu but turkey was available when I asked) and it was amazing! Lots of turkey, Swiss cheese and sauerkraut with tasty thousand island dressing on the side. Marble rye bread was thick and tasted very fresh. The fries were delicious too- on the thicker side the way I prefer them. My nephew wasn't hungry and ordered a sampler platter with fried onions, mushrooms and jalapeño peppers- a heaping platter of fried food that didn't appeal to me but I also didn't order it. Once he saw my Reuben, he observed how delicious it looked and ordered one to go.The prices were fair and the food was a good value- delicious and generous portions. The only less than positive thing I noticed is that we weren't offered refills on our drinks- a soda and iced tea. I'm not sure if that was an oversight on our server's part or if the restaurant doesn't offer free refills. In any event, we didn't ask but would have been nice if offered. Still recommend this diner for the fabulous food!

Consistently good food. Sometimes there is a small wait to get a table, the counter if fine also. M breakfast is usually my go to but in my last visit I got the club sandwich which was toasty and delicious goodness. Friendly service. Clam chowder was also delicious. I wish they would get a better ketchup or I just skip the fries.

This is still a great place to enjoy a meal. You may have to wait a few minutes for a seat on weekend breakfast/brunch but the service is on point. They really hustle! We very much enjoy the food there. Today I tried the Garbage Omelette with a side of sausage patties. All good! Its's crowded, it can be a bit loud, but it is clean and the folks are very nice. I still recommend.

I've been seeing this place on facebook and have been meaning to try it for a few years. Excellent breakfast choices. I enjoyed the homemade corned beef hash, scrambled eggs, and rye toast. The service was friendly and fast. I might even give it 5 stars next time if I sit in the main dining area. Don't get sat in the old garage. It's a little odd and cramped.

The service and food is too notch here! The breakfast here is hands down the best breakfast I've had in Toledo! The food comes out hot and the portions are large! The coffee was even a tad on the strong side too which made this place perfect. They even offer their homemade beans to everyone! It's the perfect diner with great food, never a warm/cold cup of coffee since there's someone walking around with a fresh pit every 5 minutes and smiling service!Great spot for breakfast!

We've been coming here for years. The last two times was bad. Today ordered a side of breakfast gravy, it came out with lots of lumps, I got excited and thought it was sausage, it was clumps of flour. Even told the waitress it was disgusting. We were still charged 3.99 for the gravy. That was our last time coming here. I understand prices of everything is going up, but, when something is obviously not made correctly and the customer says it's disgusting, you probably should have taken it off the bill. We hope that 3.99 was worth losing frequent customers.

I have heard about Mama's on the radio and from friends that have gone there. Everything that I've been told is true. Everything is home cooked and made from scratch. Our waitress Heather was very friendly and attentive. One can't complain about their portions because everything that I saw were large which is one of the draws. Prices are fair for the portions you receive. The business looked clean and well kept. What I witnessed and was told there's usually a wait. They are very popular and what I saw they do an outstanding take out business. If you like home cooking give them a try.

The service was terrible and we were even nice and took a small table so others could sit. I asked for some cocktail sauce and she totally ignored me. I also had to literally flag her down to get the check and she almost threw it at me with no acknowledgement whatsoever. The food was just ok. Not worth the wait or dealing with the service!

Breakfast was delicious. We got the smothered country wrap and country fried steak. Portions are big... if you leave hungry, it's your fault. Service is fantastic with a casual atmosphere. I really love this place!
