Mama Maria Salo’s Kitchen

This place is truly a hidden gem. Very small and does not look like much on the outside but inside you are greeted by incredibly friendly staff and delicious food. They have a restaurant where you can sit down and eat or get take out. Next door they also have a spot where you can order more things to go and it is more of a deli. You can tell this place really cares about their customers. Also the prices are incredible.

Excellent authentic Eastern European food. I had the pork schnitzel, potato pierogi and German potato salad. We dined-in but most people get take out it was delicious! They take credit card. Hard to find. No big signage, but it is right next door to State Meats. Two thumbs up!

We were so pleasantly surprised with food in this little charming place. Borch was real, I mean it it. I am very picky about my borch and I know how much work it is to make it. This one was done right, as best as it gets. Dumpings were awesome too. Highly recommend this place!

Authentic food (pierogis in my case) that is great . The service was very friendly.There are not a ton of tables, so you may have to wait if you want to eat there but it's worth the wait.

Only giving 2 stars because the food is good. BUT..my husband went in to grab me some food (not feeling great so I was going to eat it in the car). Well, he comes back to the car with my food and it's all literally cold! He even asked them for plasticware..I'd think that would maybe give a hint someone is eating it before going home. My husband stated they seemed to be in a rush to go home. They close at 6p. He ordered at 5:15p. Tried to call the business at 5:35p and no answer. Needless to say, I will not be returning! For the price of things nowadays, I atleast expect my food hot!

The atmosphere at this place is perfect, it feels like eating with dinner at my Baba's house. The food is a nice blend of polish, Ukrainian, and German, and food is always great and they are accommodating to both Ukrainian and English speakers.

Really rare to find a place where everything on the menu is fantastic. dine in is small, very few tables. But don't let that stop you from ordering the best food around. They have take out too. This is a don't miss restaurant

We'll. We stopped in and it was everything we thought and more..Now I'm home,,had schnitzel next day..wonderful..potatoe pancakes..used to like Peters Market but gal retired..but these were wonderfull..when I was kid. Mom made on fridays w syrup sour cream...perogies...very good..will be back..state meats is owner..thumbs up

Great food, friendly people. It's dangerous that this place is within walking distance from my house.
