Visited the Maltz Performing Arts Center for a Candlelight concert, A Tribute to Adele. This was my first time at this venue since I was a kid. It's a perfectly intimate performing arts center. The stage is a good size and I could imagine a plethora of different events being held here. I was seated close to the front, however, I imagine most people felt like they were close to the stage. I don't think there's much here besides the main hall and bathrooms. I know they don't do any food or anything. Nevertheless, it's a great location for an intimate music or performance experience.

I attended a Candlelight event here. The location is great. Right next to Case Western Reserve campus. The parking lot was easy to manage and adjacent to the building. This is a gorgeous old building but you would never know it's age as it is in perfect condition. It began its life in the 1920's as a Synogogue/temple and is now a large performing arts complex. Ushers were so friendly and seats were comfy. Here there really isn't a bad seat in the house. Balcony or graded floor level are all perfect for the smaller venue stage. Acoustics were excellent, of course.

Absolutely gorgeous venue! My friend and I attended the Candlelight: Tribute to Taylor Swift concert. The concert itself was about an hour long and featured Taylor Swift's most popular songs covered in instrumental versions by a quartet. There were plenty of seats, and the cushions seemed decent enough that it didn't hurt to sit for a long period of time. However, I will say if you are a larger person or on the curvy side the seats are pretty close together and you might bump into them as you walk by. The employees were incredibly helpful with COVID precautions and making sure everyone found a seat. The only reason why this review is 4 stars instead of 5 is because it was a bit difficult to find an area to park. Plenty of parking spaces that were handicap accessible, just no proper guidance or instructions on parking spaces for those who are not in need of ADA parking. Eventually a parking lot attendant was able to help us, but would've been nice for more signs.

The Milton and Tamar Maltz Performing Arts Center is a historic building that is located on the Case Western University campus. Several different performances happen throughout the year. Be sure to look at their website for complimentary (free) performances throughout the year.CONCERT -- I was lucky to attend a free performance on 7 April 2019 (Sunday) thanks to the notice of my friend Joyce. The event I attended was the Cleveland Chamber Symphony (with Verb Ballets and Cleveland School of the Arts Dancers). It was a wonderful performance with very talented artists of varying age groups. I especially loved the ballet dancers who were both male and female. The music throughout the night was a mix of classical and jazz. The building has a small lobby with a very clean bathroom. All the staff people I encountered were very professional and nice.I can't wait to attend another show in this beautiful venue. ***- 53 total reviews in 2019- 262 total Yelp reviews (updated reviews not included in this number)- Reviewed on 9 April 2019

First time here for the Fever candlelight tribute to Taylor Swift with my daughter. Such a beautiful building! Every seat is a good seat. The concert was so cool - hundreds of candles around the stage with the string quartet in the middle. They were fabulous! Fun night! I wish it was a little longer. They performed for a little under an hour.

I've now attended two performances here, including seeing a recent production of Cleveland Opera Theater's "La Traviata." The Maltz Performing Arts Center is located in University Circle, though a few blocks away and not *quite* in the center of UC, which I appreciate because it's easier to get to. When you see a performance at the Maltz, you can park in the adjacent lot and get out in a flash (line-ups of cars don't happen here the way you think). The Maltz is a historic building and a remodeled former synagogue. It has high ceilings, beautiful stained glass on the second floor, wonderful sound quality and has a beautiful exterior during a pretty summer sunset. But the best part is that THE SEATS ARE COMFORTABLE! I repeat, jump for joy because THE SEATS ARE COMFORTABLE! As a tall person, I could cry that the seats have ample leg room and sufficient cushioning. The seats don't make you crazy after a long performance and are very friendly to the needs of persons with disabilities.I love this venue! Before and after shows, the Cleveland Opera Theater even sets up white VIP tents on their courtyard to mix, mingle and grab a drink.

This is a beautiful site with great site lines and pretty good sound. While it seems like an unconventional place to enjoy entertainment, it is not much different than the Playhouse Square temples. This one just happens to be an ex Temple!
