If you find yourself downtown Lorain, do NOT miss out on Magdalens I stumbled upon this gem and was immediately captivated by its stunning aesthetic--think industrial boutique with moody decor that pulls you right in. The attention to detail is incredible, and I was thrilled to learn that the owner personally designed the interior, complete with lush live plants that really enhance the vibe.I ordered a chai latte, and let me tell you, this is not your average coffee shop chai. The owner explained his unique brewing process, and I was blown away by the aromatic, creamy goodness. It completely defied my expectations!A fun moment was when I spotted some sage in the shop. I asked if I could take a piece, and though the owner kindly said no, he directed me to where I could find some--his assertiveness is such a vibe! I also appreciated the thoughtful touches, like a cabinet of feminine care products available for anyone who needs them, right next to the restrooms.The seating options are fantastic--plenty of tables, cozy sofas, and even spots perfect for meetings. The big windows let in tons of natural light, creating an inviting atmosphere to relax or work.I included a photo with my review to capture the essence of this place. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about it! If you're looking for a standout coffee experience, I highly recommend Magdalens It's a solid 10 out of 10!

I really enjoyed this place! It's very spacious. There's something beautiful in every little nook and cranny. The blueberry muffin was amazing! I was very impressed! As well as the vanilla bean latte! Both were way better than I was anticipating! I was sad to learn that more pastry and good options (especially those cinnamon buns) are only available on certain days. But overall, I would definitely recommend !

Coffee is top tier and the ambiance is great. Plenty of seating but the space is so large it doesn't feel cluttered. They are always trying new things and listen to feedback from their customers a lot. Downtown Lorain can be a little daunting to get to if you are passing through but this place is worth the detour. If you're from the area and haven't been here yet, you should have been.

Absolutely fantastic coffee shop. Super positive and happy vibes combined with a friendly staff makes for one of the better coffee shop experiences in Cleveland!I had a question about how they made a certain drink and Jay (the owner) actually took me behind the bar and showed me how to make it! Can't say enough how great the place is.

If you want a hand crafted drink made from scratch by Jason, look no further than Magdalens. You won't find a more delicious latte or espresso drink anywhere! Good people, good atmosphere, and incredible drinks! You won't be sorry! Also try the made from scratch pastries as well!

Magdalen's offers immaculate ambiance & service, and the best coffee drinks I've ever had. The owner Jason uses the best quality ingredients and espresso beans in his menu and has put a lot of thought and intention into everything he offers his guests. I pretty consistently get a breve, but I occasionally get drinks with his homemade syrups, chai tea, or a London fog with amazing Earl Grey. Mag's is a place that you want to be a regular at.. it feels like my own living room with friends right in downtown Lorain. Highly recommend!

Local spot in Lorain that hits all the marks for a great coffee shop. This is my 4th visit and everything I've ordered has been perfect! Today was an Iced breve with house made mulberry syrup. The espresso is so smooth. It's a great place to hang with friends or come solo to catch up on reading. A relaxed, casual atmosphere with varied art adorning the reclaimed brick walls in downtown Lorain makes it a great addition to the neighborhood. So happy to have this place close to home.

Honestly, wasn't sure what to expect, as I found this gem on a whim! Upon walking in, and it's bigger than I would have expected, but a very quiet atmosphere. Great friendly service, and the coffee was fantastic! I I ordered the harvest apple latte off of the seasonal menu and it exceeded my expectations. Surprisingly, I can't deny it is better than the Starbucks version!
