Mad Mex - Erie

GOOD GRIEF! What can I say!? The atmosphere was fun & artsy, lots of artwork & quirky wording that I enjoyed. It wasn't shoulder to shoulder busy, but enough people to make you feel social.The Menu was a smidge confusing for me (coming from a small town) so I asked our waitress a couple questions & she was more than accommodating, knowledgeable & kind. My husband ordered a burrito... that our family of 3 could have easily shared! And he said it was amazing! Coming from him... a complete food snob that always finds SOMETHING to complain about is an impressive compliment.I ordered the Steak Fajita & a side of Black Beans... I have many food allergies & a bit of the Chrons and IBS so I was terrified of eating Mexican because often it's too spicy. The Steak Fajita was served with Sour Cream, Guacamole, Lettuce, Pico de Gallo & Mexican Rice... the Guac & rice were seasoned ON POINT... and the Steak, Peppers & Onions were either marinated by an expert or blessed by Tezcatlipoca themself! Seasoned to perfection & not hot/spicy... also, I HATE Cilantro & that Pico de Gallo was so well blended, I could see the cilantro... but wasn't mad at it at all! Brought 3 containers of food home for next day lunches for 3 people! Just as good warmed up!Made the 2 hr drive home without having to pull over and/or change my britches! We will be back!

Man...I can't speak for the rest of the menu but the gobblorito at Thanksgiving time is life changing lol. It's so freaking good we drove all the way from..Buffalo to get one and that was after we had the first one the previous year in Pittsburgh. The restaurant is clean and well kept up and has your typical Mexican American food choices. Because they aren't local to us I probably won't get to try much else outside of the gobblorito but don't let that stop you! Plenty of parking and the prices and staff are great! Love our visits here!

Chicken fajita and bean beanie quesadilla dinner fantastic . The Pennsytucky tofu, the warm cheesy bean dip, and guacamole are excellent and would recommend for appetizers . Good beer selection and good drinks .McKenzie provides the great service today, however all the services here are helpful and really take care of you .

This may be my favorite restaurant!! Wow so many choices for a vegetarian and it does not disappoint!! Server recommended the mango habanero salsa and it was delicious with the chips. Can't wait to come back and try more!

Friendly staff, unique decorations, lots of promotions including a free entrée for your birthday, fair pricing, large portions. Food is always good not killer but always enjoyable. I've never had to wait long and always got a chance to watch sports games if they were on since they have multiple TV's playing simultaneously. I do wish chips and salsa were free and had mixed service. I once had someone give me a bad look for ordering one of their specials with water and nothing else and it seemed like they just wanted a bigger tip and wanted me to spend more. Most of the times though, service is very polite but they could do more checks on their customers as you can feel stranded at times.Service: 3/5Food: 5/5Ambience 5/5

I've been here many times before but the seasonal margarita right now is Apple Cider and to some that might sound weird but it's actually AMAZING. Also the fries with ranch and queso is an excellent appetizer for a fun night out!

We found this place to be really good and the drinks were good as well. I'm visiting and was amazed to find a Tex mex restaurant in Erie. I recommend the mango margarita. I also enjoyed the chicken ticka tacos my sister had the La Chimi they were both very good.

To start, all good and bad about this restaurant put it just at decent. I was not pleased when I left but I was not disappointed either. My friend and I share the fajitas. They were decent. The marg was sub par. The waiter only refilled my water once and I had to ask. We also had a bowl of cheese dip. It was kinda spicy. It tasted like a slightly better version of the store bought yellow cheese dip in the jar. To summarize my experience, I will not be attending this dining place again. One because I don't live here and two because it was just decent.

Incredible house margarita. Great prices! The braised beef quesadilla was delicious! Cool decor. Highly recommend.

I was there today! We got wings to take home and then my fiance ate all the wings and now he's violently sick because your food! Your service was decent! But stick to what you're good at and known for TACOS AND MARGS!
