Paid extra money for a front row seat for a concert. As soon as the headliner started, hundreds of people stood in front of us in front of the stage and I was looking at peoples asses. Ended up moving way back. No security at all.

Ok, I LOVE that there is life coming back into downtown Lorain! I have been to a few shows here recently and I am impressed! The theater is beautiful and it is convenient for west siders. The beverages are decent price and the bathrooms are clean. There is also plenty of parking in the area. Review of the Janis Joplin show on 9/27: The show was fantastic! This is exactly the type of show this theatre needs. Mary Bridget Davies, who played Janis, was incredible. The blues singers and Joplinaires all had beautiful voices too! Great lighting and interaction with the audience. However, I'm not sure if the air conditioning can't keep up with the space once it's crowded or if it's not kept very cool, but it was very, very hot in there this last Friday. Something I'd like to make mention of is we paid a premium to have seats at the high top tables behind the theater seats. The high tops are nice as I liked that I could stand when I wanted without feeling that I was blocking someone behind me and I liked the table to set drinks and our programs on. The negative aspect of the high tops is that we had a lot of talking behind us, as we were in the walkway of the restrooms and bar. There were plenty of people who stood directly behind us and talked loudly as we were trying to enjoy the show. Unfortunately it was not only guests but the people working the bar too. It was extremely distracting. I don't know of too many ways to correct this other than ushers asking people to step in the lobby to have conversations and to convey to the bar staff that their voices carry. I really enjoyed sitting at the high tops, but after this experience, I don't think I'd pay extra money to be disturbed in the future. I don't want to complain about anything here as I truly love that this theater is running but it's something management needs to be aware of in order to keep improving and filling seats. I will gladly keep supporting Lorain Palace Theater with great shows like this and the Led Zeppelin cover band back in the Spring! Lastly, management should work with area restaurants and bars, as they could benefit from all the traffic before and after the shows. I noticed when we left, there was only one bar open, in which they were at capacity, not allowing anyone else in. I sooooo want to see life back in Lorain and think if the businesses partner up, it could be successful.

This place is absolutely amazingly beautiful! My husband have seen 2 shows here and were blown away. The staff is amazing, the theatre is clean, chairs are classically old. It's like stepping into history every time we come. Absolutely a must experience.

I purchased tickets for the Whitney Show on May 12, 2023. The show was canceled. Trying to get a refund was a joke. They had me calling Moxie Events who had canceled the show. Left messages for a person named Jennifer. I went on May 16, 2023 to the palace in person. Was told if I paid by card I would get refund in a couple of days. I had bought 5 tickets at $47 each which came to $235. I did get the refund the amount was $212.50??? Right, I was shorted $22.50. I tried calling the palace they must of shut there phone off because no one would answer. The night before I did leave a message on their voice mail. Never got a reply back. Leaving out of town this weekend. I will be going directly to the palace on May 23, 2023. I don't feel I should have to pay fees which I'm guessing it is for a concert they canceled. From this experience not going to the palace anymore. Will be telling friends and family of my experience with them. So very unprofessional!!!!

We just visited the Lorain Palace last night. The Back 2 the Future band was fantastic! They took us back to the 80's and the costume contest had fabulous costumes from Devo, Boy George, Freddie Mercury and more. We couldn't sit still in the audience, constantly dancing in the aisles. The Palace is absolutely stunning and everyone wore masks appropriately and still had a wonderful time!!

This place is pretty bad if you ask me. The sound system is terrible, the noise in the back of the theater is ridiculous during a show, the lines for the bathrooms are just unbelievable...and most of the acts they get here are really for an older crowd...as the singers are old and way past their prime. The Janus Joplin concert COULD have been good if the sound system was decent...but the music was way too loud (people left during the intermission) and it really did a disservice to the fabulous musicians that were performing. Have no desire to return here.
