Live Mon Thai-Malay Restaurant

This is very much a "hole in the wall" restaurant and a hidden gem. I went on a Saturday at around noon and they didn't seem to be terribly busy. We were seated almost immediately and the waitress was quick to take our orders. We got fried veggie spring rolls, Red curry with tofu (4 out of 5 spice level) and Thai basil fried rice (5 out of 5 spice level). Lunch time portion sizes were excellent for the price point. The fried vegetable spring rolls were standard fare and comparable to most other Thai restaurants. They were slightly larger in size and had a generous amount of filling which is always appreciated. The red curry was excellent. It had a large quantity and diverse array of vegetables, seasoned beautifully, and spice level was spot on. I would give the red curry an 8 out of 10. The basil fried rice was the star of the show. The rice was cooked to perfection, seasoned exactly the way I wanted, and spice level was also perfect. I would give the basil fried rice an 8.5 out of 10. My only concern with the basil fried rice was that they could have been more generous with how much Thai basil leaves they added. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience and will definitely come back many more times to try their other dishes.

Saw great reviews and felt like we went to a completely different place. Ambiance was meh. There were only two other people in there. Our food was just disappointing. We had the Thai dumplings and Singapore noodles. Enough for 2, and we just didn't want to finish it. Dumps were greasy and dipping sauce had a weird flavor. Singapore noodles were missing flavor and the chicken seemed low quality. I will say this...price wasn't bad...but I wouldn't pay that again for that food. Maybe you'll have better luck with the drunken noodles or pad thai.

I work across the street from this place. Finally ordered take out. Everything tasted great. Beef drunken noodles and the yellow curry. I have no complaints! If I were to say something. Add more potatoes and onions to the curry.

The food was very good. My wife and I both had curry dishes and they were flavorful. The vegetables were not overcooked so they still had a firm texture. The quantity just enough for a dinner, I didn't bring home any leftovers which was a bit of a disappointment. We were the only patrons in the restaurant at the time we ate. The service was perfect and the ambiance was nothing special. The restaurant did appear to be very clean.

Great food and service, will be back. Very happy with all the flavors. Better then downtown Akron Thai food.

Have eaten here 3 times since Christmas. Good food - I've had the Malay Curry Noodles & the Singapore Noodles, son had the Malay Fried Black Pepper Steak, wife had the Yellow Curry Chicken. I'll try the Seafood Thai Pad Krapow next. Friendly service, dining area neat, menu fair size without being intimidating. Twice when i was there, the TV over the bar was showing a Thai musical competition (Thailand's Got Talent?), complete with captioning.

Got the Penang curry, pad Thai, spring rolls and summer rolls and it was delicious!! Employees were also nice according to my fiancé. Will be back!

First time ordering tonight, and wow!!! Best Thai food I've had since moving to Ohio 5 years ago... The Drunken Noodles (Pad Ke Mow) were fantastic and came with a free, crunchy hot chili oil that actually had a little heat!! High quality ingredients! Looking forward to ordering more from here!!!

Great Thai food!! Had the Tom yum soup and it was delicious. Just the right spice level I ordered. Generous amounts of shrimp, onions and mushrooms. I also had the Panang curry which was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the mood for Thai food.

The best Drunken Noodles I've had since first trying in California eight years ago.
