As we entered the shop, we were met by an older gentleman enjoying homemade lasagna watching a soccer game. At that moment we knew we found the right spot. Continuing to explore aperitivos, we were looking for an amaro and Lambrusco to create a spritz we hoped to serve to guests that evening. He patiently and kindly explained the different varieties and flavor profiles, and helped us pick up the perfect amaro. Another great Little Italy gem! They have a wide variety of wines and beers to choose from but my favorite part about this place is their Saturday wine tasting! The price of the tastings can vary depending on the wine they choose however, it's around $10 for five wines. Definitely check their website for the most accurate list for the wines they are pouring as well as the price. I'm currently on their email list which is a great way to stay updated. The tastings start around 5 PM but stick around for karaoke! The hospitality in this place is unmatched. Everytime I come into this place for a tasting, I leave with more wine knowledge, great stories, and a full stomach!

What a great way to start a date night! I found out about this place when I purchased a Groupon for a wine and cheese tasting for two. Every Saturday, Little Italy Wines hosts a fun and casual wine tasting between 4-8pm.We stopped in around 5:30 and were warmly greeted and got checked in. The wine tastings take place in the back of the store. It's a very casual atmosphere, just some bar stools and couches. The place is a little cramped but I think it adds to the charm. We made ourselves comfortable and dug into our cheese plate and started with our wine samples. We tried a pinot grigio and four red blends. Our guide was a great conversationalist and gave us some inside scoop about the and also gave us some excellent dinner recommendations. Our tasting lasted about an hour and we had a great time. I highly recommend stopping into Little Italy Wines for a wine tasting or just to browse. They have over 900 types of wine!

I was out of town looking for a good bottle of wine to get me through the week. I came across this amazing family owned store. I met the owner who was very polite and accommodating. He allowed me to test a wine after inquiring about my tastes. He nailed it! He kept a good conversation while I waited for my Uber ride back to my hotel.His hospitality is the reason why we need to continue to support small businesses!
