Lefty's Famous Cheesesteaks Hoagies & Grill

Today was my first time trying lefty's. If I could give this place 3 and 1/2 stars, I would, but since I can't it gets 4 stars.It took 35 minutes to get me my food and I was the only person in the lobby when I ordered. (I do know that they also have drive thru and to go orders from online such as DoorDash.)The woman working the front counter (one of the redeeming factors that made my rating a 4 and not a 3) was very pleasant.I got an order of cheese sticks, two corned beef eggrolls and the regular size #1 Lefty's Cheesesteak.1. Cheese sticks = worst cheese sticks I've had in a long time. Would not order them again. They were not crispy and the cheese was a weird texture.2. Corned Beef eggroll = the eggroll itself was delicious, however, the way the cornbeef was cut/the quality of corned beef was questionable and there wasn't much of it in the eggroll. This dish gets a solid meh from me.3. #1 Lefty's Cheesesteak = delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed it and if I'm craving cheesesteak, I'll be back to get it and just make sure to factor in a long wait time in case today's wait is the norm. The cheesesteak and the nice woman at the front are the only reasons why this review is 4 and not 3.

Been wanting to try this place since they opened. Well, today I finally had a chance to do just that. Underwhelmed and, quite frankly, a few disappointments. For my first time, I decided to try Sam's Cheesesteak. Although pricey, I figured to go big or go home for my first time and got the "meal" - clearly marked at $16.99 on their TV menu. Order taker asks me if I want my fries regular, curly or Cajun. I said let's spice it up and went for the Cajun. For my drink, she then proceeds to tell me that all drinks are out except for the fruit punch. Sucks that they didn't tell me before I ordered, but it's not that big of a deal. I said I wanted my order to go. She told me my total- which I expected to be $16.99 as clearly marked on their menu, but... nope! She said $19.48!!! I looked at the menu and I said "it's only $16.99!?!" She responds "oh, no... those prices are wrong!" What?!? Seriously?!? I said "how are you guys gonna advertise certain prices then completely charge different ones at check out? You need to update your menu!" Out of principle, I would've waked out on a typical day, but I already ordered and was hungry, so I paid. I received my receipt. More annoying crap:Remember when I mentioned that she asked me if I wanted regular, curly or Cajun fries? I got Cajun, not knowing that asking for Cajun is a $1 up charge - she never said anything. One dollar for merely and barely dusting my fries with some seasoning? You've gotta be kidding me!!! Can we say nickel and dime?1. They haven't been open that long and their menu pricing wasn't exactly budget-friendly to begin with, so to learn that the prices on their menu were already outdated (and not updated) means that they've already raised their prices within their first 5 months in business. Geez!!2. Got home and opened my order. More disappointment to find that my $20 meal included a cheesesteak that is tantamount to a 6" sub. Ho hum!What's sad is that the cheesesteak was tasty enough for me to be curious about the other things on their menu, but with my experience today, I don't know that I'd be looking forward to going back.

You could smell the aroma as soon as you step outside of your car. Once inside the building the menu was clear and straightforward. The staff were friendly and polite, the service good. The food is made fresh to order but a 30 minute wait time seems to be overboard. While I was waiting a couple waited 15 minutes to be greeted to place an order. The flammin hot on the hoagie had to be sitting out for a while or was stale. The steak meat was good. Overall I think this place has a good menu and items but the wait time could be better.

I gave it four stars as a collector for the food and the customer service.The customer service was really good. Everyone was really friendly, and the place looked really clean. I got a Sam's cheesesteak regular without the cheese sauce. It was good, but I felt like it was definitely overpriced for the size. I got a regular and I believe it was $11 and that wasn't even with fries. It was tasty, but I've had better for less.I also tried the strawberry cheesecake which I forgot to take a picture of. It was five dollars, which is not bad for a slice of homemade cheesecake. I enjoy the cheesecake itself, but I feel as though the crust could have been better.Just the price to portion ratio I'm not sure if I'll return

Definitely enjoyed the vibe of this joint. The food was full of amazing flavor and they don't hold back on the portions. Give it a try you won't be disappointed at all.

Being that I am a huge Browns fan, I had to try this place. This location was brought to Cleveland by the one and only Deshaun Watson! I missed the grand opening and opportunity to meet my QB1. But, I did jump on the next opportunity to try them.Pulled up and the place was pretty much empty. We were greeted promptly. The inside is really decked out with hip hop themed decor and cheesesteaks. I decided to go with the Big Poppa Cheesesteak. I asked them to hold the pickle. The food came out pretty quickly. However, it came out with pickle. I did not complain, but it did take away from the experience because most of the sauce was drizzled on top of the pickles. The steak was a bit dry. But that was my only complaint about the sandwich. The cheesesteak was flavorful. The fries are mediocre at best. The only thing good about them was that they were hot. I think they would be better if they were paired with a dipping sauce. The service wasn't bad minus the miss on my sandwich edit. I would give them another shot. They have quite a few menu items that seem interesting.Pro Tip: They have Cherry Pepsi on tap. That was a first for me!Big Poppa Cheesesteak 1-5=3.Fries 1-5=1.Customer Service 1-5=3.5.

Went here to place an order and it was completely empty inside. Waited a few minutes, called out hello 3 times, called the phone number while inside the establishment, no one came to the counter. All the employees were outside in the back of the restaurant talking; after about 5 minutes I left. I could have taken whatever I wanted if I was that type of person; the cheesecakes actually looked pretty good. I just went somewhere else to get food. Smh, do better.

Service was pleasant with a smile. Food was really good. Fresh ingredients, cooked on the spot, and the Lefty's sauce is a must. I'm glad I took it home to eat because it's messy, but it tasted great. The bread is fresh, soft and not so much that it s too much. I got the #4 but there's a few others I look forward to trying.

I ordered the regular cheese steak.. disgusting. All ingredients were minced, had the consistency of cat food
