Great story of how Landoll's Castle came to be... but it's entire grounds is poorly maintained. Restaurant is just ok. Closed at 8pm. Drinks are MEH! Food is average. Pool and hot tub is very disappointing. Ambience is low. We stayed in the Kihm Suite. TV and fireplace were both not working. We had to call maintenance and it took them a couple hours to come fix them. Bathroom definitely needs an overhaul. It was Jan. 18th and all the Christmas decorations were still up and in disarray. I recommend Gervasi Vineyard in Canton. Same price... triple the experiences with so much more to see and do.

What a cool place to see and visit! It looks like an old style, Bavarian mini castle. Decorated with Christmas lights, the ambience is so calm, peaceful and fun. I took a lot of pictures here. Such an idyllic view everywhere you can turn. We went inside the gift shop and got a couple of items to commemorate our visit! You can stay as it is a hotel venue, and it comes highly recommended by the locals.Perhaps if I'm back in this area, I'll do a stay in one of the rooms. But this time we just visited and took in the serene ambience. This place would be perfect for a small wedding and it's my understanding that they do host them on occasion. Recommend stopping by and visiting sometime!! You won't be disappointed with the old European charm!

Great getaway location. We enjoyed the lodging and food service greatly. My opinion...this is not ADA friendly. Lots of walking on uneven slopes, and stairs everywhere.

Second visit to Mohican park but first time here. We didnt stay here but i would love to. Especially would love to stay in one of the castle rooms. Love they have pool and jacuzzi in heated separate buildings. Love they have cute restaurant with full bar. Its mature woods and i enjoyed walking around watching the chipmunks and birds. Im sure its lovely every season but fall was gorgeous. We also drove around the park to the lake and covered bridge. Quick look at the gorge but didnt do the gorge trail... maybe next time.

Came in May for an anniversary getaway. This place is as fantastical as you would expect. I will say the website does not do it justice.Stayed in the Buchdenheit Suite. It had a great shower and for 1 jacuzzi. A small kitchenette with coffee. Beautiful robes and bed to sleep in. We felt like a king and queen.Don't forget your swimsuits as the pool house is gorgeous and heated. Has a pool table, shuffle board and plenty of places to sit.Check out the Copper Mug and have some of the stuff drinks they will pour you.

Spent 3 nights in the MacBeth #13 cottage. It was FANTASTIC! QUAINT meets MODERN! QUIET, RELAXING and WONDERFUL! The GIANT hot tub out back on the VERY private deck was FABULOUS! The Thanksgiving buffet was DELICIOUS! I woke up to a BIG buck and a sweet doe VERY close to the back of the cabin, which is sweet, charming old history meets contemporary, modernity. This cabin is absolutely CHARMING with 21st Century updates. We are coming back! SO RELAXING! I could live there FOREVER!

The waitress was amazing. The atmosphere was decorated for the Christmas holiday and the decor was perfect. The best part was the food!

The location and grounds were beautiful and our room was very clean and comfortable. However, we arrived to meet another couple from out of town for lunch (both celebrating 40th anniversaries) and the restaurant was closed with out notice. Had to drive a half hour to find a place to eat. Restaurant was open for dinner (great food-long wait) but closed again for breakfast after saying they would be open. Worst part was nobody seemed to care. Just acted like this was normal for nobody to show up to open it or run it. So checked out and drove somewhere else to eat. Disappointing, especially for the price. Also didn't run the tour of the grounds as listed in things to do. No explanation. Next year we will go elsewhere.

We have stayed here in the past. That stay in the Stables was great. Decided to stay again but in one of the cottages, for the hot tub. Well this stay was horrible. The Thane cottage was very dirty. From crumbs on the table, cup rings on the bedside tables to previous guests sock in the bed. Didn't find the socks until after I slept in the bed all night. Also, got the graze box. Don't waste your money. Simple grocery store bagged cheese and by the time we ate them stale crackers. So disappointed. By no means a 'luxury hotel' in the heart of Ohio.

Youngin's beware! We just got back from a stay. We were supposed to stay in the Hardesty Suite (after seeing its location/lack of privacy I'm glad we did not end up there). There was something wrong with that suite and they upgraded us to the Landoll Suite at no extra charge. This suite is $300/night more than the other suites, however I wouldn't recommend it. We attended an event hosted in the Marta Louise Ballroom and had a great time and multiple drinks. Thankfully, the alcohol helped me FALL ASLEEP, but once I woke up around 4am, I couldn't sleep the rest of the night. My husband had trouble sleeping too. The bed is just so uncomfortable and I said I feel bad for any bride and groom that have to spend their wedding night on that bed. The rest of the room is nice, and the ability to look outside from your own private tower is unique. We were the youngest people there by 15-20 years (mid twenties) and that must be how they have success. Older people who already have trouble sleeping don't think it's the BED that's the problem. But me, a person who can sleep literally anywhere, couldn't fall asleep on that bed. The pool, hot tub, and sauna were nice, and the restaurant is the best thing about this place! I'll be leaving them a separate, 5 star review!
