Kusinera is hands-down our favorite spot for classic Filipino dishes, and we're so glad to have it nearby whenever we visit family in the area. While the Filipino food scene in Pittsburgh is growing, Kusinera continues to hold a special place in our hearts for its authentic flavors. On this visit, I was recovering from a cold, so I ordered the pork sinigang, and it was absolutely perfect--tangy, savory, and exactly the kind of comfort food I needed. We also couldn't resist getting some lechon and pancit, both of which were flavorful and beautifully prepared. Each meal comes with a side of rice, so you'll leave with a full and happy stomach! The restaurant offers plenty of indoor seating, making it ideal for small or large groups. Plus, the free parking lot makes it super convenient. If you're looking for authentic Filipino food in a welcoming environment, Kusinera is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back!

My fiance and I finally had the chance to go since it closes at 7 pm most evenings. We loved the food especially the curry bases. It's great to support many different kinds of Asian cuisine. Filipino is a new atmosphere I encourage you all to try. The husband and wife duo are very friendly too.

My wife and I swung by this local Filipino joint. It was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint!! We opted for takeout and were greeted by the friendliest staff. The food? Oh man, it was something else--absolutely loved it. Their whole fried fish was a hit. Can't wait to go back and explore more of what's on the menu.

A fantastic, locally-owned, delicious spot for our Sunday night family dinners. The lechon! Oh the lechon!!!! We get it every time bc we know the amount of time and work it takes to make it right! It is not an indulgence your cholesterol level can take every day, but we all love it. Really happy to get some authentic, ethnic food in Canton and wish this place the best so we can dine here for many years to come.

Amazing ethnic food! Everything we had was full of flavor and without a doubt made with love and passion for food! Best crab Rangoon I ever had and I've had them many places. Owners are wonderful, kind and very helpful. You can try before you decide!

Excellent food, excellent service, cannot say enough nice things about the lovely couple that run this place and the spectacular food. You can try a sample of the foods so you know what you want which was cool since we'd never had Filipino food before. Hubby and I both had the spicy pork, plus another dish. All tasty.

Food was great! We had the adobo with rice and pancit with lumpia. We ate inside and it was a cozy and friendly atmosphere. The two women who served us were polite and courteous. Will definitely make a return trip soon.

Wife and I have had the pleasure of visiting Kusinera a couple of times now and have sampled the majority of the entrees they offer. With the exception of the spicy pork that was too much for the wife, we both love everything we've had! The focus of the menu is on foods that cook up in a stew pot and so most things are ready to serve up right away when you order. The meat in all the dishes is very tender as a result of the slow cooking method.Appetizer options of crab rangoon and lumpias are both great! These are 100% the best crab rangoons I have ever eaten! They offer several different items for dessert but we haven't tried those yet.As for the ambiance of the place, it's very simple and low key. The staff are very friendly, it appears to be a real "Mom and Pop" operation. The restaurant is neat and clean but not at all fancy. Food is served with disposable dinnerware, the tables and chairs are very basic. The walls are covered with inspirational sayings written on chalkboard. The focus here is all on the food and it is fantastic!

Absolutely wonderful food and the staff is some of the nicest people. This is a must try place if you never had Filipino food before or are looking for a Filipino restaurant in canton area. Can't wait to return and try out all their menu items. For first timers that don't like a lot of spice, go with the chicken adobo. For the more adventurous souls the curries and spicy pork is superb! The only Filipino restaurant in the canton area I have found and when you see Filipino moms coming in and getting massive to go orders you know you found the real deal! The restaurant itself is clean, well maintained and the walls all have inspiration sayings all over. Prices are very reasonable, and portions are large. they will also do half and half entrees. They will explain each dish and give you samples to try first if you're not sure or never had this type of food before.

Stopped in for a quick lunch- they have counter service and everything is ready to go (except the lumpia were freshly fried). We got the pancit, lumpia, chicken adobo, and the chicken curry special, everything was absolutely delicious! I wish we lived closer, we would be regulars!
