I've had this place on my list to check out for a few years and finally happened to be in the area, so stopped to get a taste. The interior is definitely American diner. I loved the nostalgic tables, bar stools and checkerboard floor. Friendly service, greeted upon entering and instructed to sit wherever. The menu is simple but not boring. They have daily specials, as well. I am a big fan of Coney dogs, so I knew what I'd be ordering. The dining room wasn't busy but the order seemed to take a little longer than I'd thought it would. The fries were hot and paired very well with malt vinegar -like fair fries! The Coney dog arrived warm but not hot. The hot dog was beef and a solid dog. The chili was delicious. The cheese was from a bag and never melted. I blame that on being pre-shredded and being placed on a warm chili dog. 3.8 out of 5 for the type of cheese, lack of onions & cheese (you gotta load up a chili cheese dog!) and the temperature it arrived to the table. Bathrooms were clean and spacious. Prices were fair. Service was friendly. I'll give them another visit soon and maybe I'll take it to go - eat the fries in the car and microwave the Coney dog when I get home

The first time I actually ate inside since the new owners took over. Usually had food to go and ate at home. Umm, our waitress was wonderful. Friendly, great attitude kept asking if we were good on our drinks. Took longer than expected for anyone to notice we sat down though. Um, one thing we did notice was the "smell" inside the restaurant. Best to describe is almost like an outhouse. Maybe the sewer or just the building in general. Yes the same smell was there when the previous owners were there, so . The food was okay. Temperature was good. French fries are thinner, homemade like "fair" fries. . The hot dogs were bigger all beef but rubbery. We liked the dogs the previous owners sold extremely better. The coney "sloppy Joe sauce " was good, just missing an ingredient not sure if it was a little sugar or salt. Still good though. We looked over the menu at the food and prices while we waited for the waitress. The prices are reasonable. There's many hard ice cream flavors to choose from, and shakes ect. Didn't try any ice cream though. All in all it's a nice restaurant to have in Navarre. We will definitely be back and try different options on the menu.

They have a drive through and friendly service. I had a small cone for a couple bucks, and it was a generous size. The banana/raspberry soft serve is mildly artificial tasting and bright in color, but it's cheap and the service is friendly and convenient. It wasn't very crowded, and I appreciated the convenience of not having to get out of my car.

A Google search and reviews of Navarre, OH food outfits lead us to Kremland today for lunch. The place does show it's age and could use some "curb appeal" improvements. You order at the counter and choose where you want to sit. The Dining room is mostly booths along the wall. There are a few tables and one large corner booth. I ordered a half pound burger and fries. The two employees at the counter were friendly enough, but they didn't sell their products well. One glaring problem is the kitchen space is fully open and in view of customers. While that is a good thing, Kremeland needs to get their act together back there. Too much clutter and looks pretty disorganized. My burger and fries were pretty good. The burger was hand formed and fries fresh cut., or at least they seemed to be. Too much grease was served with both. I have watched numerous places fry potatoes and there are ways to serve french fries without so much of the cooking oil coming along for the ride. The burger was cooked perfect, but as with the fries to much beef fat oozing into the bun.Kremeland seems to be a favorite for locals and regional people. In my opinion the place is a potential gold mine. As with all businesses, the problem can only be lousy management. Kremland could easily be one of those places I would drive fifty miles out of the way just to enjoy their food, but for now it aint, and that is a crying shame.

The food was cheaper when they first opened and as expected, they gradually raised the prices of everything to everyone else's price or even higher, I was a regular and I couldn't eat there daily for under $15. Last,The help is very smarmy, smart mouthed and outright rude at times. The waitresses go behind the bar and talk about everybody and bitch about each other in front of the customer sitting at the bar, so I've decided to spend my money elsewhere. I'll be treated with respect and fair prices.I hope the ownership takes his comments is constructive criticism, not insult because they are very true.

Stopped by on a whim to Jack's Kremeland Diner & Dari-ette and was happily surprised! While not as fancy as some other locales, the decor of the place fits with what your imagination sees when you think 'diner.' As I've read here, someone had mentioned this place was updated within the past couple of years, and I can imagine it has helped out a whole lot.People (restaurateurs) sometimes underestimate the curb appeal of a place (especially one that hearkens back to a simpler, more innocent time of food and fun), but then again, go tell that to those dives you occasionally find in the weirdest, drabbiest nooks 'n' crannies... Who cares what the place looks like--you come for the food, not the scenery. Anyway. Never been here, or seen the place before, for the matter. Yet, what I found was awesome! The staff and even the customers were friendly, the service prompt even around lunch time and the food excellent. Being a hungry buck, I filled up (and I sure did fill up) with one of their classic 1/2 pound All-American burgers and their 1/4 pound grilled Mighty Coney dogs (I think that's what it was called...) and they were both spectacularly delicious. I know I was hungry, but I was taken aback--in a good way--by the fresh taste, and juiciness of the handmade burger and the way the hot dog tasted, being grilled instead of steamed or God forbid, microwaved. The doggy's wrapping (a huge, but not thick, lightly toasted bun gave me problems trying to pick it up, but then I remembered I had a fork! The sauce was good enough, maybe a cross between what I think a sloppy joe and my grandma's hot dog sauce might taste like mixed. The onions, cheese and mustard just gave it that extra oomph. Now back to that burger. No complaints. I am simply happy with the fact that it was handmade, juicy, and deliciously cooked to perfection. Melty cheese, mustard, onions, tomato and pickles just made it all the better. The fries on the side, while I hear complaints about soggy this and soggy that, gave me no quandary. Some were flexible, others crisp, but all of them were salty, fried goodness. I don't have a qualm with any "hand cut" fry as long as they taste good. Very few establishments double, or better yet, triple fry their frenchies (after the initial blanche). It is a diner in the middle of Ohio after all. Oh, and I had a root beer float to top it all off. Damn fine work.As for the other fare on their menu, I looked around at the place and said: "I would stop here again."Specials and menu items included a varied, but not terribly extensive (which I think is a good sign of management and quality) offering of everything from Stuffed Peppers and mashed taters to a good ol' fashioned American breakfast. Of course, all sorts of ice cream concoctions too!As a side note to those who will inevitably use the loo, the bathrooms were clean--a good sign all around. All in all, while I would give this place a five star rating, I think that there are places few and far between that can actually grapple at that kind of excellence. For now, this place has won an intrigue award for a follow up sometime soon.If you stop, don't expect the moon, but I think it's safe to say, you can shoot for a great, filling meal of All-American food and fun.
