If you're looking for a place to relax with friends over a $5 or $6 glass of cider or wine, look no further than Knockin Noggin. I first discovered this little charming cidery and winery from my partner who had tried the cider elsewhere. Returning from Erie, he found that we'd be passing Knocking Noggin so we swung by. We've made the trip three times now. We've only been disappointed once when my partner and I bought 4 growlers for a gathering we were having and none of them tasted good. Something happened where they were either mixed or went bad in a matter of two days. I reached out to management, and they quickly responded with apologies offering to provide us with complimentary refills. We brought our growlers back just as promised and they were refilled at no charge. Some of my favorite ciders have been the seasonal ones including Butter Beer, Pineapple, and Chocolate Strawberry. Pineapple is my top one hopefully coming back in the summertime. If you have the chance, visit this place during a town festival or even when nothing is happening to just have a wine slushy or glass of wine out on the patio. One of our last visits was during a Harry Potter Festival which was fun and interesting. Whatever you're doing, don't pass this place by, you won't be disappointed.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They give you a great 'pour' for the money. Only negative was the large amount of LARGE flies in the inside tasting area. Constantly shooting them away.

Tucked in the heart of Volant, this cidery since the first time I've been here! Though their regular ciders are not at the top of my list, I love their seasonal options. When taking a growler, the staff allow you to combine ciders - my go-to being a combination of lemon and cranberry. They also allow you to sample as many options as you wish for free. During the summer, they have live music outdoors on Friday and Saturday evenings - a very casual setup however they have added an outdoor bar and strings of lights to set the mood. If you are looking for a unique cider in a quaint, small town setting, this is the place for you!

1st stop on my friend's bachelorette winery tour! There was a fall festival going on, so it was extremely busy but we still enjoyed it! Tastings were complimentary so it was fun to try the different ciders! My favorite was the Momentum, which was a semi-sweet cider. The Catawba wine was delicious too! Other favorites from our group were the peach, lemon, and cranberry ciders. There was a cute outdoor area where we could place chairs in a circle for us to talk! Only drawbacks were all of the bees that swarmed us outside! Before leaving, we were able to fill up the growlers for $16 and take them for later!

I came to Volant for some fun shopping with a friend. Our first stop was Knockin Noggin of course! Unfortunately, it was close to the holidays and they were out of a lot of their ciders (which were coming later that day), but we loved what we tasted! We each got a glass of Momentum which was the perfect amount of sweet. A great day!

Have been here a few times for their ciders, which are amazing with truly unique flavors. Not only that, but recently had my bridal shower in their upstairs area. It turned out better than I could have imagined! The food was amazing--we requested mixed fruit as one of our sides, for example, and they cut my fiancé and mine's names into watermelons and filled the melons with fruit. We didn't ask them to go to that trouble, and they took it upon themselves to add a little detail. Everything tasted great and they took time and care into their presentation. Great people to work with, very flexible , and I highly recommend to others looking for somewhere to have an event!

Tons of cider and wine samples to choose from and the best part is they are all free and unlimited. Yes you can try each and everyone for free. They have at least 8-10 ciders. Some rotate throughout the seasons. The staff was very knowledgeable about the wine and ciders and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The prices are affordable. If you reuse your growler from this place they offer a discount on the refill. Worth the stop .

Went here with my fiance and her aunt a couple of Saturdays ago. It sits back next to the Volant Mill in town and I would highly recommend a stop here if you are visiting Volant or are in the area. The house has a small bar where you can sample some cider and wines. We stuck to the cider and it was pretty phenomenal. I personally am not a huge cider fan but left with a growler of their Inertia cider. I would strongly recommend sampling (it's free to sample). The ciders taste very refreshing and their seasonal specials are bizarre and enjoyable! They had a chocolate peanut butter cider when we were their last and it was really different to try. Do yourself a favor and have a neat experience here. Very cool place to go and when I'm in the area I will be stopping by here.

This place is a gem! If you are in the area you have to stop by, (also worth a drive). A beautiful Saturday after noon sitting out back enjoying the wares. Alison was so sweet and very attentive, diospite being alone and very busy. Getting growlers ta go, and stopping back soon.

My first time in Volant was of course for some cider at Knockin Noggin. I've been a follower on Facebook and became very eager to make the journey from Pittsburgh when I saw them promoting their Cherry Lime cider. On my way up to Erie, I decided to make a stop. Knockin Noggin has both ciders and wines and will allow samples. While the Cherry Lime was refreshing and delicious as expected, I found the seasonal Mimosa cider to be even better. I ordered a glass of the Cherry Lime but left with a growler of the Mimosa. The young lady working the taproom was very nice and polite when answering any of my questions. She even obliged my request to take my picture with a frame they had on the fireplace. The taproom is not big but a cozy space. I'd recommend at least stopping by Knockin Noggin if not checking out the entire Volant business district as well.
