Super nice lady but there wasn't any room to sit and relax and enjoy the tastings. Wine was flavorful.

What a nice surprise! Excellent wines and the owner couldn't have been more nice. I tried a lot of wine and he even gave me a tour and explained how they make the wines there!

Love this place! Small, out of the way but with much history! We've been by on two occasions and with both tastings, we left with some mighty fine wine. Love the doggies; very friendly. Prices on wine are AMAZING!!! It looks like from the pics below, they hold events but on both occasions, we were not there during warm weather. If I had anything negative to say, it would be that the tasting room is super tiny with no sitting. Maybe that's on purpose? Maybe to keep people from sitting around drinking too much?? Small, dark, dusty type of room.But you couldn't ask for nicer people. Very friendly. When we are in the area, this is a must stop!

This place is fantastic. After a failed attempt at trying wine at John Christ Winery (see my review on their page), I stopped in here for a tasting about 20 minutes before closing. What a pleasant surprise. The owner/winemaker was really welcoming and knowledgable and talked about all the wines during the tasting. If you are in the area, you must stop in for a tasting and pick up some good, local wine. And they have two, friendly dogs that are eager to welcome you! What a great place.

There are two wineries in Avon Lake, and this is the so-much-better of the two.Firstly, the service. The woman who served us was an absolute peach. She was able to juggle up to seven customers in the tiny shop, pouring tastings and ringing up orders while making an effort to talk to everyone. She was able to offer suggestions and comments on all the wines, and made everyone feel very welcome. The wine is.... good. Not Californian or Chilean or French good, but interesting and varied. The ice wines were super sweet, and the concords and roses were full of flavor without being too cloying. Most of the wines are more dessert-y than I usually drink, but I really enjoyed the shop. There's no bar, so just come for a tasting and take your favorite bottle home with you. Very cute establishment!

My wife and I joined friends for an event at the winery that involved a bluegrass band and a catered steak dinner. The band was great as we the food. In fact I would have this higher except that their dry red wine is terrible

Being new to the area we were happy to see a Summer Steak Cookout at a winery. The winery is a bit rundown, and sadly we weren't fans of the wine. It is just too sweet for us. The Steak event was very nice, with T-Bone steaks, potatoes, green beans, salad and dessert. The music was fantastic. Very nice event that I would attend again, just wouldn't drink the wine.

Service and hospitality was great. Very helpful, kind, and welcoming. Ended up leaving with 4 bottles, and will return for more in the future. Unfortunately, no where to sit inside. Only picnic tables outside.

Awsome place. We are from san diego but wanted to try ice wine while visiting cleveland. This place is great! Really nice people! Would recommend for people traveling to Cleveland wanting to try out the local wine.

The Klingshirns are local legends, having been in the business on the family vineyard for generations. For the past 23 years their annual Steak Bake, Wine Tasting and Music Soiree evening with Jim Schafer and Friends performing has been a staple of the area summer events and many people measure their year by this "happening". The summer is not complete without the Klingshirn Steak Bake and a baseball game at the local Crushers' stadium. This year the Klingshirn Winery is having the celebration on Friday, August 17 starting at 5:30PM. I will be there. Reservations are needed for the meal, but not for a casual stop by to enjoy the music and to sip some vintage. Reserve before noon tomorrow (15 August, 2018).
