Kingfish

After living in FL for the past 8.5 years, my husband and I have some high standards for seafood. We didn't think it would be possible to find anything close to the quality we had been enjoying in FL when we moved back to OH, but Kingfish proved us wrong (for which we are very happy!). Here are the things we tried:-Lobster Bisque-Shrimp Cocktail-Grilled Salmon-Surf & Turf (Lobster tail and filet mignon)-Sides: Lobster mashed potatoes, Creole risotto, regular mashed potatoes, asparagus, and green beansEach dish was cooked to perfection! The lobster bisque was creamy and had multiple good size pieces of meat. The clarified butter for the lobster was served over a candle to keep it warm during the meal. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare. The salmon was moist and flaky.The service? Attentive and friendly.The vibe? Quite dim and moody, perfect for a date night. The price? It's up there, but you get what you pay for and it was worth the price to us.Comfort? The booth that we sat in had a pretty worn out seat, but I couldn't detract a star with how well amazing everything else was.We'll be back!

We recently celebrated a birthday at King Fish in Montrose. Arrive by at 5:15 pm allowed us to be seated quickly as we were pushed to a comfortable booth. My daughter ordered a dozen Blue Point Oysters and was not disappointed. They were fresh, nice sized and served with several hot sauce and cocktail sauce.I ordered Blackened Walleye which was excellent. You could taste the fish as well as enjoying the seasoning which was not overwhelming. The potatoes and green beans were on point and complimented the main course. My wife ordered the Fried Chicken and said it was the best she has ever had. Finally, the Lobster Mashed Potatoes were good with nice chunks of lobster claws mixed in with mildly seasoned mashed potatoes. Prices are on the higher end as you would expect for a nice restaurant. Great ambience and good service.

I ate here last night. Got the scallop and shrimp sauté and the scallop kind of smelled off but I ended up eating it. Bad mistake. I've been throwing up and using the bathroom nonstop for the past 12 hours.

Food is always so delicious. Service is very studious. Ambiance is very nice. Great atmosphere. All around a great place to goto.

When we do not want to drive far & are in the mood for fine dinning., the Kingfish is our " go to" place. Every meal we have had there has been deliciously prepared & presented. We have taken many of our out of town guests there. It is clean, comfortable, & cozy. The service has always been good with just the right amount of friendly follow up from the waiters. I love their crab cakes!

This was some of THEE best food that I have ever tasted. EVERYTHING was delicious. The lobster was buttery, sweet and it melted in your mouth. And this lobster mashed potatoes. . . bae bae . . . scrumptious!The service was excellent. Our server was super attentive and the atmosphere had a nice chill vibe.Because it was my birthday, I received a free dessert of crème brûlée. I was creamy with the perfect amount of sugar crust and fruit.It's a 30 minute drive from my house. I'm already trying to figure out when I can make it back there.

We came here for dinner. The ambience was nice, the seating was excellent. We enjoyed the soft music. It allowed us to both be intimate while dining and not to be able to hear our neighbors conversations.Our server, Marissa, was excellent. She took all of our questions and food preferences without any negative feedback, and was right on task the entire meal I would highly recommend asking for her as your server... Her service is impeccable. Managers if you're reading this, give this human a raise.

Love the food & our server Nick was on point all night! We have become big fans of all the hospitality restaurant locations and always debate if kingfish is better than blue point. Kingfish has better prices (the kingfish trio is $15+ less expensive than the Blue Point Haven for the same dish) and better drinks (one of my favorite manhattan's in Cleveland). Their lobster bisque is on par with blue point as is their calamari but we go back and forth each time we eat at either restaurant. Regardless we alway have an amazing meal at kingfish and will continue returning!

Haven't been here in a year thought the food quality got mediocre and prices ridiculous Tried it again last night with my wife and daughter s Same result my filet steak Oscar was over cooked supposed to be med rare but was med plus The crab and beef very dry The steak was 6 oz but I thought the tiniest 6 0z filet I've ever seen At $54. the Bernaise sauce blah I showed the manager he said it was 6 oz and offered to replace but my group was finishing their dinner already as it took 15 minutes for him to stop over My kids crab cakes were good and a good value The waiter Lucy was good we were told we were comped a free wine It turned out to be a free Pepsi because that was flat and syrupy the first time we got, shrimp cocktail was good Like the atmosphere but food at these prices for simple filet no way I rather pay the same or pay slightly more for top quality filets at diamond grill I'll wait another year before we go back to kingfish too bad

The food was delicious and the service was excellent!!! The atmosphere was classy and intimate! The staff was friendly and took their time and you never felt rushed! A great place for a first date or a night out with the wife and friends. Please try you will not be disappointed!!
