A classic bodega in my hometown. Came here to buy a couple pounds of ajies dulces for sofrito. Nothing has changed since I used to come here as a kid, and that's a good thing. Still the same friendly people, the same delicious pastelillos and arroz con gandules, and the same south Lorain vibe that I miss so dearly.

This bodega/grocery store reminds me of the bodegas I grew up w in the Bronx (NYC) in the 1970's. It has absolutely everything one needs to cook comida tipica Puertoriquena - from the calderos & tostonera to the recao & cilantro to cada vianda necesaria y que deseas. I've been living out this way for close to 5 years, and this is the absolute best variety I've found without going to Cleveland. I've never tried their prepared food. As long as I can get the ingredients I need, I can prepare it myself! WEPA! And the check-out counter is filled w dulces in round plastic containers. :) This will definitely be my go-to spot!

Terrible customer service! They get mad when you pick plantains and tell you to go to another store! The store is dirty all the time! Been going there for years and recently they are acting terrible with the costumers.
