Food, service, and ambiance - all good! No cookie-cutter bland bullsh*t here! First off, the food is very welcomed in this town as it is distinctively different and delicious. The music, thankfully, isnt the loud pop/rap/kiddie sh*t created for 13-yr olds, but a nice mix of alternative, mellow indie, and just creates a chill enviroment.-Well worth supporting!

Just had a fab dinner from this cute place! We're in town to pop stuff into our storage unit for the first time. We really needed dinner - to go. This place gets such good reviews and buys local for its menu, we just had to try it. The place gives off funky warehouse vibes. Not a ton of seating. There were 2 tables full of younger college age kids. Two people were running the open kitchen, one cooking and packing up takeout orders, it seemed. Guessing that person was also waiting tables. I picked the best meal -- the Chimi bowl. YUM. The garlic aioli mixed in with the chimichurri to create a rich sauce over the black beans, rice, avocado, pickled onion and pepper with juicy grilled (griddled?) chicken. The plantains were a bit strange -- kind of dry (I thought maybe they were plantain chips!). My husband got the cheddar burger which he said was tasty though nothing super special. The fries were good but too salty. All in all, though, a very good experience.

Most unique, and best tasting food in Meadville . . . As I mentioned in my previous review during pandemic times (We are still in pandemic times (Writing this mid-April of 2022), but we are basically no longer acting like we are), KLK, was take-out only, but that has changed. You are now free to eat inside and the tables and chairs are all socially-distanced (and masks are optional). My favorite meal here is still the "Street Beef," but last time I had the Mushroom Bisque, and it was divine. I have had quite a few of the various menu items, but there are still more to try. Also, BIG SHOUT OUT to the AWESOME / FRIENDLY Owners and Staff . . . BIG CHEERS!!!!!

On my way back from Buffalo, NY (yes, the other parts of NY, not NYC), I stopped for lunch at Kettle Lake Kitchen. It is a nice little place with good food. I had the Mango Chicken Salad, and the dressing was pureed mango. It was very delicious.The atmosphere was great, as it was in the back of an over 100 year old market building. The only reason I gave four out of five, they don't have a drink selection for diabetics other than water. They have a selection of beer and ale, and super sweetened seltzer water, but nothing that is sugar free. If I am in the area again, I may or may not stop by.

Excellent food. We have come here a few times passing by Meadville on our way to Erie. Creative and interesting combinations that are really tasty. Also plenty of outdoor seating so great place to grab a casual bite if you have pets and toddlers like us. We tried several dishes including steak sandwich, pineapple chicken bowl, bulgogi bowl, and we loved it all! There were a lot of vegetarian options I would love to try as well. Would definitely recommend

I was traveling for work and was going to go to dinner near my hotel. Instead I looked up some Yelp reviews and I'm so glad I did! I got the Bahn Mi bowl at Kettle Lake Kitchen and it was delicious. Fresh veggies, soft-boiled egg, crispy,saucy pork with rice. I ate more than I should as it was so yummy.

Dishes were fantastic! The food tasted great. Service with a smile was excellent! Banh Mi.

3 1/2 stars rounded up! I ordered take out using their website about 15 minutes before heading over to pick up, figuring we could at least get our order started before arriving. On the website, there is no option to specify a pick up time, only that it will be ready before they close. When we got there, things seemed very disorganized despite being an hour into their opening for the day. I checked in at the register and they had a receipt for my pick up order sitting out but had not started on it yet. We were looking to add soup on to our order but the cashier let us know that the soups written on the board were not available that day after asking multiple employees in the kitchen. After waiting for another 10-15 minutes, we were told our order was ready. The take out bag seemed heavier than it should and we realized this was not our order but another woman who had come in shortly after us for pick up as well and went through the same experience. After another 5 minutes, we finally had the correct order.We had a banh mi, maple bowl, and chimichurri steak sandwiches. All tasted great but both sandwiches were on the smaller side and came with a very small bag of about 10 French fries. The flavors in these small portions were fantastic though. My maple bowl was a larger portion but really seemed to be a lot of quinoa with only a little bit of other ingredients in it. How long it took for us to get our food and how disorganized everything was despite 4 employees working with only 2 customers, definitely had us hoping for outstanding food to counteract the not great experience. We would definitely try here again in the future if we were passing through and hope that they just had an off day with service!

Found this place in a cool location and stopped in for lunch. I ordered the street meat it was amazing. They have a nice seating area outside very pleasant. Staff was friendly. This place is definitely worth trying!
