Judy’s Family Restaurant

So wife ordered BLT and choc cream pie; I ordered bean/ham soup and apple pie alamode. BLT was small and, meh..my soup, the beans weren't quite cooked and way too salty. OK. The chocolate cream pie arrived with no meringue. We asked for some whipped cream on top and the waitress seemed surprised but glad to comply. This was comical - just before my pie arrived my waitress zipped by and took my silverware. Not a word. I had to flag down someone to get a fork for my pie. In short, the folks seemed nice and sincere - the food I could have easily done better at home - and I'm not a cook.

The food was alright. The eggs Benedict was unusual as I thought it came with hollandaise sauce but it taste more like nacho cheese. The service was ok. One person took our drink order and another one came around to take the food order. The ambiance was ok considering it the old Irish Exchange they are located in.

Judy's is FIRE !! So good! Real eggs...not poured from a carton. Fresh yummy homemade. Sausage gravy SO good. Warm, friendly and attentive staff. Service was efficient and quick. Very comfy feeling as far as ambiance. Prices great for amount and quality of food. Going back soon for sure!! Ample parking. Easy to find. Judy's is a winner all around.

The overall experience was good. Service was great and everything was cooked well, but I did not like the country gravy at all. I ordered the country fried steak, home fries, scrambled eggs, and wheat toast. Unfortunately I was only able to eat the toast and eggs because I disliked the gravy so much. Not a bad experience, just won't be my first choice.
