John John Seafood W / Soul - Cleveland Heights

It's 2:28pm on a Thursday & unfortunately no one is answering the phone to place an order & I'm outside looking at the open sign lit but the door is locked. Really wanted to see what the stuffed potato hype was about but doesn't look like it's going to happen.

Rating it a 3 just because of the amount of fish you get in a dinner. Fries are tasty with a Hidden Valley Ranch kind of seasoning on it, the location is easily accessible compared to the Euclid location. Service is friendly but the prices are a little inflated compared to other restaurants that sell fish. I However the flavor combination of using just the right seasoning makes it okay to pay the extra. For example a catfish dinners $13.95 with $1 off as a Friday special. However you can get a catfish sandwich and fries with still one piece of fish for I believe $7. So why pay 13.95 or even 14.95 when not on special.

I paid 1$15 for the garlic and shrimp over rice and got a half a box of the dish. I had 5 shrimp in the box and it was loaded with broccoli and onions. The rice had no flavor of any sort and it was dry. I can not recommend this place until they are able to cook with a bit more flavor at least add a little butter or some white wine to the shrimp and garlic dish it brings the flavors out. And give a person a decent amount of food for their money. I am a bariatric patient so I can't even eat that much in one sitting, but I had to order more food from another restaurant to make sure I had enough food to last me through the evening. SMH we try to patronize these businesses but there is always something wrong

This is one of my family's favorite spots to order take out from. My dad LOVES their fried perch dinner. The menu has a lot of different options. There is a wide assortment of sides to choose from. Best to phone in your order ahead of time - everything is made fresh to order. We have never had a bad meal here. Counter service is friendly and efficient. Portions are generous. Prices are reasonable. Support your local small businesses! Insider tip... If you or your dining companion(s) order an entree, ADD THE 4 JUMBO SHRIMP for $5.00. OMG. You can thank me later.

I must admit that John John Seafood w/soul has the best stuffed potatoes in the state of Ohio. The price is right and I wish I could fine these large size potatoes in grocery stores I shop in. The meal completely fills me up. For a small business in my area John John Seafood packs a large sea food menu. So, keep up the good work.

I eat here once a week, at least! You can not beat his daily specials. The price point is exceptional. I really enjoy the catfish, and whiting plates as well. The pills chicken wrap is my favorite. I also love the sweet potato fries. But can not go wrong with exploring the menu because Everything taste great. The regular fries are my jam as well he has a special seasoning he puts on them that is killer! The staff here are very friendly and provide consistent clean and timely service. I find that every time I order I am pleased with the timing, they are fast! As well as always keeping things consistent as far as the flavor of the food, quantity, and quality I like that..when I order I know what I am getting.

Excellent food. Especially the stuffed potatoes. Great service every time I order. The owner is very polite and can help you with suggestions.

I enjoyed the fish it was very tasty, seasoned and cooked well and hit the spot! Loved the fries they are the big steak cut style! I will have to try other items soon. I didnt care for the sides I chose which was the mac and cheese and sweet potatoes. But that wont stop.me from returning

The website yelp etc said open called at 7:30pm phone just rang no answer. Highly disappointed and this was my go to when I didn't want to drive down to St. Clair....

I drive past this place every day. My husband decided to try it out today and we were very happy we did. Got a perch dinner and a catfish dinner--both very good. Big portions! He said the employees were very friendly and I would say very accommodating too. Hubby thought he'd ordered cole slaw with both, but my dinner had okra instead so they gave us a large side of cole slaw to make up for it. I actually love fried okra so was very happy for the accidental order and will get it again :)Please give this place a try-- definitely worth it!!
