J-N-G Grill

I have been coming here for over 30 years and I have heard talk of new management. There has been updating of the inside over the years but the chairs and tables are very worn and uneven. Also, the quality of the food is suffering along with the very high prices. Over 15 dollars for nachos that hardly had chili on them, very disappointed and will have to leave this restaurant in the past.

Food is great staff is nice. Place has done a great job of add ons. I will continue to go back!

Walking into this place, I expected to receive sub par fried bar food. I was very hesitant to order anything with vegetables (as that is not typically a bars specialty). But the very friendly waitress assured me they were good, and she was right! I was very pleased with my chicken gyro and broccoli side. My husband had the fish and chips. Great food, great service, and reasonable prices to boot!

Tony and I stopped at JNG Grill that has been open since 1947 to grab a quick drink and to check out a Local Favorite Spot.We were greeted at door and seated quickly towards the back. Not crazy about seat placement because I was unable to get some quality photos. Place was busy, Football on all TVs and Noisy chatter everywhere. Tony grabbed a beer (Bud on draft special $2.50 pints) I ordered a cup of French Onion Soup and a Pepsi. Waitress was sweet & attentive & soup was exactly what I needed Hot and Yummy!!Our check was slightly under $10, left her $2 tip and we were off for some additional adventure

I noticed others were contacted by management. I'm 57, and my husband is 64. This could have turned out badly! After 30 years of visiting this resteraunt. Never again. It was the dressing on the Reuben Sandwiches that made us sick. I called and let them know to PLEASE throw it out. My son and his girlfriend had the same Sandwiches but did NOT use the dressing as they don't like any Mayonnaise type spread. I called 3 days later to see if it was thrown out. The person on the phone said. Management didn't call? Nope.

Great food at a cool bar. In New Philadelphia for one night only. Looking for late night food. Found several options but wanted a local place, not a chain. Glad I found this bar. Building is quite old and has a significant history to the area. Decorated inside with tons of old sports photos from the region. Tables were nicely spaced in the dining area with privacy dividers between many of them. Had the chicken cheesesteak. Nice sandwich with lots of onions, mushrooms, chicken all covered in a good melted cheese. Hand cut fries were incredible. Good crispness on the outside and pillowy softness inside. Excellent and had more than enough of them served. No skimping on portion size. The rum runner drink with several kinds of rum and some fruitiness was quite good. Again, huge serving size. Waitress, Kayla, was super nice and attentive without being obtrusive. Highly recommend!

Not the JNG Grill of the past. Menu is extremely limited. No more fresh cut fries - replaced with brew city fries. Only 3 burgers offered. We went in expecting to choose from old favorites, but everything is totally different. We won't be back. Food was OK - nothing special for the price.

Great wedding Officiant -Minister and G-n-J Grill has good food. I highly recommend both.

The boom burger and fresh grilled broccoli was outstanding! Our awesome server Emily provided exceptional service and made our lunch experience second-to-none. Thanks Emily.

After reading previous reviews, we decided to stop at JNG. Spoke to a local, regular customer on our way in, who recommended the reuben. Well, reuben was delicious, so was the fried chicken sandwich and Italian sub. Atmosphere is comfortable. Waitress Payton made a fresh pot of coffee for us. Wonderful experience!!
