Awesome meat stand at the west side market, the chicken brats are very juicy and flavorful and the apple chicken breakfast sausages were sweet and salty. After cooking them on my smoker, they got a great smoke ring and cooked perfectly. Love to support local small businesses and this is definitely the place to go whenever you want bacon, jerky, or sausage.

That is right here. The spicy jerky here is worth eating and eating and eating some more - even though jerky is probably one of the very worst things that you can possibly eat, no matter what my military friends say. Even if you're not big into jerky, give the spicy jerky here a chance. It totally changed my opinion on jerky forever. I have yet to find one which is even in the same league as this.Service can be really nice or not so great and prices are pretty high but you know what? When you have the very best version of your product that is available on the market it's worth whatever you charge for it. Within reason. And these prices are just about within reason.While you're at the Market, also try a lemon & sugar crepe from the awful service spot Crepes De Luxe, and be sure to have a Brat from the wonderful Frank's Bratwurst too. J&J Meats has found a special place in my meat loving heart!After getting recommendations from the locals telling me I have to try the beff jerky before I head home I decide to make the drive to the market and it was worth it. The stand is located in West Side Market and the Jerky here is unlike anything I have had before. Typically when most people make jerky they use a dehydrator which makes the jerky chewy and very difficult to be juicy. What J&J does is they smoke the jerky which is a much more time intensive process but it makes it soooo worth it. The jerky is juicy, full of flavor, and soft and falls apart as you eat it. Orders online specifically to try the jerky, which I loved. I got the BBQ "sweet heat" and it's so delicious. It is wet, which surprised me, but the grilled smokiness with the tangy, spicy flavor is just so much yum. Traditional jerky it is not. However, it's fantastic. I got some of their garlic knockwurst and Slovenian smoked sausage, too. Haven't tried that yet. It took a while to ship, but when it did, it arrived quickly. I'm trying to be cognizant that they're selling fresh good and they're not Amazon, so a week to ship isn't terrible. It also seems like the products online are higher than in store. I find that somewhat troubling. I'll pay shipping and handling, but I feel like I should pay the same per pound as someone with the luxury of being able to walk in. I won't lie, paying more probably won't stop me from ordering Get some jerky!

Bacon jerky...I don't know if there are two English words combined that get me more excited except maybe "single" and "Constance (Wu)." The jerky is not typical jerky that you get out of a plastic bag from the grocery store. This tastes extremely fresh and melts in your mouth with a sweet, moist, and caramelized flavor. For those familiar with Filipino tocino, it has a similar flavor profile, but is even more tender and fattier (who knew that could be possible vs. tocino). There are other jerky's and various meats, but this is what I come here for. Sold by weight.Rating: 5 crazy rich Europeans out of 5

I came in to Czuchraj Meats specifically because I wanted to try their jerky after seeing Iron Chef Michael Symon rave about the jerky on an episode of the Food Network show "The Best Thing I Ever Ate," the "Salty Goodness" episode.I came in and they let me taste several varieties of jerky. I wanted ALL of them! Then I discovered that these need to be refrigerated (most mass produced commercial jerkies do not require refrigeration). As I was here from out-of-town, I had no way to refrigerate them and then get the product home. I also tried a sample of the Jalapeño and Cheese smokies - hot, tasty, and delicious! Kind of like a fresher version of a slim jim beef stick. And way better than a slim jim!They recommended I purchase online, and it would be shipped to me in a manner to protect the quality of the jerky. Which I plan to do when I get home! Jerky party! I did end up buying a large piece of the Hot Beef Jerky to take to go and munch on in the car...Be aware, they do not accept Amex.Nice folks!

I ordered the hot jerky after seeing it on Michael Symon program on tv . They immediately charged my account upon ordering at their website. The product never arrive.I called them after 4 weeks and the customer service agent couldn't have been more unpleasant and told me that there was nothing she could do. I had to call my bank to get my charges reverse . DO NOT ORDER FROM THEIR WEBSITE!!!

I made the trek from Chicago to get some of their prized beef jerky. Their stall and service did not dissapoint. Christie was super helpful explaining the various flavors and giving samples to try. The Applewood and Hot was the best. The Habenero or Scotch Bonnet was killer hot and would be great to buy and serve up as a gag, no pun intended!

I live in Scottsdale AZ my daughter sent me some items from J&J. It was so great to get some old time Kielbasa from home. They packed everything up and sent it to me for my Birthday. Thank you very much!!
