Isla’s Ice Cream

Stopped in for a treat after a busy day. I had heard they had many vegan flavors so I was excited to see they had some options. I got a single scoop of chocolate avocado topped with coconut whipped cream and vegan chocolate chip cookie dough! It was such a good treat! Although, I've decided I do not care for the Ben & Jerry's vegan cookie dough...it's very dry and not tasty. But that does not reflect upon Isla's. Their vegan ice cream was delicious and it's made in house. Cute decor, nice neighborhood ice cream shop. Will be back!

We stopped by over the weekend and it was a great experience! The interior was so cute, the prices were reasonable and there was a wide variety of ice cream flavors. We got the Peanut butter bliss sundae and it was delicious--they did not skimp on the toppings! Seriously recommend checking this place out!

My fam and I checked this place out since we heard they have many non-dairy ice creams available and they are near by!great options and flavors that you can taste test before getting! I tried the coconut cream vanilla. It was very good, but would be better with a stronger vanilla flavor. Their cinnamon flavor was very delicious too. Can't wait to try more flavors!They also have vegan waffle cones and whipped cream available. This will definitely be my new go-to for a treat with the fam.

I read about this place somewhere and thought it sounded like something we needed to check out. We don't live close so we drove out of our way to get there. I was so excited because I read that they had vegan ice cream. This place just opened in July and from the article and some reviews I read on Google I was expecting to show up and be blown away. I was thinking we were gonna have to wait in a long line just to get served the way some of the reviews reported. Well we pulled in to the parking lot around 6 (on a Friday evening ) and except for one other car it was empty. I thought maybe it was closed but when we got to the door I was relieved to see it was open until...my nose was assaulted by some god awful smell. It was like a mixture of mold and a retirement home. Very off putting. There was one other party of three in there. Hardly the big crowd the reviews made the place out to be. From what I read I was expecting a lot of flavors and an ice cream machine that serves soft serve with ribbons (it wasn't anywhere that I could see) I looked at the selections - there weren't nearly what the article made it out to be. Nothing looked appealing but I didn't see a vegan option. So once we waited for the teenager behind the counter to look up from what he was busy doing (we got no greeting when we walked in and he actually looked straight up annoyed that he had to wait on us) I asked what the vegan flavor was. He looked at me with a blank stare and told me the only option they had was some kind of "ice" thing. I said that the article I read quoted the owner as saying they had vegan options. He then pointed behind me on the wall to a sign that had "Vegan flavor of the month" on it with some kind of brownie option...so...they have a sign...just no actual vegan ice cream. I was so disappointed that we just said thanks and left. So...either we came on an off night or business was good when they first opened but dropped off if people had the same experience we did. I don't care how good the offerings are at a business if you don't have an equally competent staff. I get that teenagers aren't always great at customer service but you could feel the annoyance in the air from this employee. If you just opened less than two months ago you might not want to leave things to chance as far as the reliability of the employees to handle your business the way you would as an owner when you're not there. I hope that this was just a one off night and that this place really is as great as the other reviews stated. Unfortunately we won't be going out of our way again to find out. There are plenty of other places that have vegan flavors every day. Lastly as I stated earlier - this place has been open since July and yet they still don't have their website up and running. It says "coming soon". That just doesn't seem like very smart business sense. How do we know what you got going on if you don't have a website? Maybe they are just on social media sites but if that's the case then why have the website? Very disappointed with our experience as we were really looking forward to trying the ice cream.

Great little spot with an awesome Fall menu and yummy options. My favorite ice cream is the vegan PB&J.
