Excellent breakfast food that is SIMPLE. Word to the wise... this place is cash only. We had to go across the street to the atm at family dollar. The place itself is dated with very limited seating. There was only one table out of the entire restaurant that could accommodate 4 people so we got lucky today. We will definitely return to Irvs! Our server was very congenial.

Chicken Philly is a lunch go to at only 6.50 it's the most underrated lunch deal out there cash only happy feasting!

Hands down favorite local diner for breakfast and lunch! No one makes scrambled eggs with cheese like Chef Dan ...don't know what it is, but they are the best ever! Love the omelets, home fries, French toast, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, grits and bacon! Today we just happen to have lunch which is equally as delicious! Great burgers, philly's, corned beef and tuna melts! I like both the regular and seasoned fries. They also have onion rings for no additional charge! Lunch is only served during the week starting at 11:30. Irv's is a cash only joint..you can't beat the prices so you don't need to bring much. A place full of regulars where customers become friends! Saturday's are busiest, but well worth the wait!

If you're on Taylor and you walk into a sandwich shop in this street-side strip, this is what you might expect. No frills here, and what you see is what you get. Just authentic diner food, made in front of you for a reasonable price with no fuss. Nobody's in a hurry and here and its cash only, thank you. Perfect!Their corned beef sandwich is far better and cheaper than ANY other place at Cedar/Taylor. Sorry, Mr Brisket (not). Their smooth grits also are way, way above average and not dry or crusty at all.Such better quality and price than Melt or Mr Brisket. Walk over and see for yourself.A simple short menu with breakfast and lunch done right.

If you're looking for a no-nonsense, old school, helluva good breakfast, this is the place. We were looking for someplace within a short walk of our AirBnB and stumbled across this gem. The Irv's special hit the spot, but what I enjoyed the most was being able to watch my breakfast being prepared by a great chef that has mastered his skill. Helped to start the day off great!

Great pricing, old school counter diner. Cleveland Heights staple, doesn't get better than this. Been coming here since I was a boy.

Diner Fix people tease me but I am always satisfied.I can actually talk to the other patrons or read the paper. Beats the ambience at other places.
