We sat in the patio area. Was a beautiful night.
Would love to attend one of these!

This restaurant is NOT open to the public. It is for members only. Staff were kind and friendly helping us locate another place to eat dinner. Lovely dining area - wish we could have given it a try. Large parking area.

I attended a wedding here in October and it was beautiful. One downside was that it was bad weather so the ceremony had to take place inside. The wedding used both their main room as well as an adjacent room, and those of us in the adjacent room can barely hear or see the ceremony. The staff was friendly and dinner service was smooth. I had the Brazilian flank steak and it was good. The vegetarian option was eggplant and it looked delicious.

Eh, I guess I expected better. I guess I wanted a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal. But when this is your fate for the big meal, you suck it up and go for it, for the family, right?I realize what I should say is sometimes you can't really expect that out of a buffet. Maybe in Vegas you expect more. I mean, I did not expect a cotton candy maker or chocolate fountain. Just a solid meal. The turkey tasted strangely of pork. I have no idea why. The stuffing was like mush. What I thought was cheesy potatoes, was some weird cheese salmon mixture. Yuck! I just wasn't into it at all. I even tried to just eat the veggies, but my precious green bean casserole had beans in it that were barely cooked and the mushroom mixture had no flavor. Don't mess with my green bean cassarole! You know what was good? The pumpkin pie! It was awesome! I kinda sorta think that they were maybe bought from somewhere else. Especially considering they were so good compared to the meal. But maybe I'm wrong. Who knows! Maybe that's their secret power, baking up a good dessert.Too bad too, the space is beautiful being right on the lake. Great view on a warm summer night or even a chilly day. Makes me think they've got this fantastic view, they're a private club, and they have paid members, so they don't have to try as hard.Perhaps the pool is better in the summer? I hope so!

At the time I'm writing this, there are just two reviews of the Iroquois Club on Yelp--one is 5 star and one is 1 star. That's a pretty big difference.I've been a member for years and have eaten at the Iroquois Club too many times to count, and I'm confident that the low rating from the 1-star diner was because she based her review on a holiday buffet experience. We've been at the same holiday buffet for the last couple of years and that is NOT what the Iroquois Club is known for. (I'd still give it higher than 1 star, but can understand why serving one's self from warming dishes in a busy buffet line is not a 5-star experience.)The vast majority of days aren't holidays, though, and most of the meals the Iroquois Club prepares and serves are made to order. The menu standards are varied and delicious, portions are well-sized (impressively large for most dishes, suitably downsized for the "petite plate" options), and there's an appealing range of seasonal offerings that change from month to month. Pricing is quite reasonable for the quality of the food. The service is always excellent--welcoming, polite, prompt and attentive. Be careful how many drinks you order, because the cocktails won't be watered down. And the location, with its lake view, is also a plus.I've eaten pretty much everywhere in the Meadville area and the Iroquois Club remains the best food available by far (though if you're going on a summer night, the club is so close to Hank's, the previous 5-star reviewer's dessert suggestion is also well worth considering).

I just had dinner here last weekend with my parents, who are members.First of all, the view of the lake is just wonderful. The dining room off the bar sits directly on the edge of the shore, and is just open to the lake. There was a fantastic breeze, and our table had a direct view to the sun setting over Wolf Island. The food was delicious- particularly the crab and lobster bisque, and the rack of lamb. (The Caesar salad could have been better- my dad always gets the Club Wedge). The soup in particular was among the best I have had.The service was excellent, as at any club.If you know a member, wrangle a dinner invitation! The best meal in Crawford County. (The desserts are good too, but you should still end your evening at Hank's.)

I've not been to the Iroquois Club sine I was young. Went there tonight for dinner with friends. The setting and the club are beautiful!! The food was so delicious. Two of us had the "Small Plate" rack of lamb. And other two had small plate steak and crab cake. Was the perfect amount of food. And again so so delicious! Our waitress Sydney was awesome!! We all highly recommend it. But you have to be a club member. Or friend are members thru the Yacht Club & The Erie Club. I'm not sure how all that works for other areas so I would suggest calling before going. (We drove down from Erie so bout a 30 min drive and well worth it!

Stellar bar and kitchen. Best food around for 75 miles! See Dick at the bar, he's been there since the revolution. Sandy is a rockstar manager and the views are perfect for a sunny lunch or sunset.
