Saw on Facebook that Friday's special was Lobster salad. Knowing that these specials sell out quickly I called at 1 p.m., and asked to hold two. I went over at 2:30 to beat the dinner crowd. Each 8 oz. container seemed to hold one small lobster. The price was a bit steep, but the salad was delicious. I prefer a printed receipt that wasn't available, so one was sent to my email. Upon entering The Hungry Bee check out the menu board and the cold cases. All is carryout.

I'm very picky when it comes to take-out... Which is why I absolutely had to write this review! Hungry Bee is a local family owned business that makes you feel like you are honest to god sitting down & eating a home cooked meal that was made perfectly for you. Inside was so clean, all of the food was extremely fresh, and the staff was so friendly, accommodating, and kind. I had the Mediterranean salmon w/ harissa, couscous and zucchini... the salmon was cooked to perfect and the couscous just melts in your mouth. It was by far the best salmon I've had! Get it! Try it! You won't regret it! There was an entire freezer full of prepared meals to choose from, and smaller "on-the-go" prepares dishes also! The food options ranged from meatballs, chicken and dumplings (which are to die for), jambalaya, seared scallops, short ribs, Mediterranean salmon, crab cakes... The list goes on!! There were so many delicious things to choose from, I wanted it all!! They offer hot plates as well, and fry pies which didn't make it to the yelp photo gallery because I ate it all before I could take my phone out... They have honey of all sizes from local bees & I promise, once you try it, you'll never be able to go back to the store bought honey. Ever.

I am so very, very happy that Hungry Bee is around for take out on those days when I've done a lot of running around and cooking dinner is not appealing (like tonight). The food is restaurant quality and I don't mind paying for it, especially because I get two servings out of mine. It is a complete meal. Tonight we had tenderloin strips, scalloped potatoes (yummy) and Brussel sprouts. I always add a maple sandwich cookie or fry pie. Sooooo good!I have always had pleasant interactions with the people who work there.

I tried it here a few times and I have to say, they have some of the best Amish hand pies and salads around. In fact, allOf their baked goods are soGood- the cookies and the cakes were amazing . As for the food, I did like what we had- tenderloin one time and a chicken another - but I struggle with the idea that I am getting it and then finishing it off at home. It was very tasty and so well seasoned, for certain. However, I am not sure why I bothered to buy it there when I could make it myself. If I were in a super pinch I would be here all the time. I guess I am not, so I cannot rationalize this. Although, occasionally stopping on in for handpies is always a good idea. Also, the folks who own this place are so great and kind beyond words.

I am becoming a regular at this place! It's a bit pricey but it's totally worth it when I don't feel like cooking. Crab cakes: unlike any other crab cake I have ever had. I wasn't sure about it at first and then I just kept eating it and before I knew it I finished it and I loved it. The texture is not like a normal crab cake. Beef stroganoff: yum. Pot roast: double yum. Banana cake with caramel frosting: shut the hell up yum. Also, very friendly staff!

The food was good, but customer service for their takeout was horrible! I was in twice trying various items to see if I might want to use them for catering I spent quite a bit of money both times. The woman at the counter on both occasions seemed put off by my questions. I asked about ingredients in certain items and she didn't have the answers. At one point she gave her best guess. She rushed me along and seemed annoyed that I continued to look around. BTW this wasn't at closing, so there was plenty of time. Needless to say. I won't be back and won't recommend to coworkers, friends or family. **Customer service and friendly staff are as important as the food!

Hungry Bee catered my rehearsal dinner and gave me a list of great menus but I ended up making my own. Kim was patient and really let me do whatever I wanted. We had a delicious salad, pierogis, asparagus and grilled chicken. Everything was great but due to the fact it was cooked off site and brought to us, it wasn't perfect. But I would highly recommend trying them out because they can truly make whatever you want and are a great small, local business to support.

Now I have seriously feel like I've tried everything. Pastas, soups, grilled meats, CRAB CAKE, salads, desserts... I still stand by the crab cake being the best item there hands down.

Tried it twice. Both times very disappointing. First was tuna salad sandwich. Could be my problem but why does tuna salad have raisins and grapes??Today was their big Corned Beef sandwich offer that I saw in a major ad in an area flyer. Ok. So how can they mess up Corned Beef? Appears, very easily. Sorry to say since the people are very nice but the meat tasted more like bologna. Everyone agreed. No one ate more than ate more than a quarter of the sandwich. Won't go back.
