Hunan Lake Chinese Restaurant

Food was not fresh at all and it lacked flavor it also hurt our stomachs quality is not so great like if they were using old food

Our go-to carry out for decades--they do a great job. Hunan Chicken and Beef, EGG ROLLS (MUST GET!!), and Sweet and Sour Chicken.Recently, they changed a few things: the Duck Sauce is now generic and seemingly lower quality. And the fried rice is wayyy different. Still, a nice local restaurant that's doing a good job.

The sweet and sour chicken had sauce already on it so was mushy when got home, fried rice had no veggies or anything in it, pork was so chewy was inedible, general chicken was tough. Over all the taste of the food wasn't good either. Will not return. Do not recommend.

The best chinese restaurant! They are always helpful and the food is really delicious. Highly recommended!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. First off, they're charging way too much for the most simple of foods. Second, if I do pay $25 for two meals I would at least expect them to be at least half way decent. I guess my years of cooking experience have me expecting way too much. However some things are just common sense. Like drenching fried food in sauce. The outcome is a soggy mess that I didn't even feel comfortable eating. It's not even worth me calling back to complain. Hopefully this post saves someone some $$$. The best thing here was the fortune cookies.

This place is awesome always good in a pinch. Takes about 15 minutes to cook your food order traditional American Chinese takeout what more can you ask for on a Sunday night we just wanna watch football and not cook. The only qualms I have with this place is their website never works. But if you're ever in manner and you're Jones in some Chinese food swing on in their English is good there food even better FYI I posted pictures of their menu because I couldn't find them online

The order is always accurate and the food is great! One of my go-to Chinese restaurants! Portion sizes are good! I would recommend giving them a try - fast service and good food - a winning combination!

This is our go to for take out Chinese. It is consistently delicious. And now they are part of DoorDash! Had dinner delivered tonight. Realistically, it cost about $10 to have it delivered, including the driver tip. Still worth not having to drive up Munson and Lakeshore at 35mph behind every slow driver, well you know. The menu in the store is extensive. The menu on DoorDash is not. I had to get creative and add a note to Beef Lo Mein to get it make Beef and Broccoli, dinner sized, medium heat. Hunan did that for us! So now when you are contemplating delicious Chinese and can't get there, you can have it delivered!

MSG MSG MSG it's in their food!!!Threw out $40 in food, after I had a very rapid heartbeat after eating. Not at all normal for me. I became suspicious that it may be the food. I was right. I called and found out Hunan Lake uses MSG in their food. The fried rice & eggroll left a greasy aftertaste. The Wonton soup had soggy wontons. The Chicken Chow Mein was watery and flavorless. When my fortune cookie was stale. I had to write this review

Our first time trying this restaurant. Chicken chow mein, chicken lo mein, chicken fried rice and Won Ton soup were all very good. We will definitely be ordering from Hunan again. Sorry to hear some of the other negative reviews. Glad we had a positive experience. It's hard to find a place that you are happy with. Sometimes you get lucky.
