I am so sad because this place was my go to spot. Was in there recently and there was definitely a big ass bug on the floor, I swear it was a roach. I told the guy at the register and he acted like he didn't even care, super red flag. I will not be back but people should know. Between this and the disgusting oil build up so bad it went into the UPS store just means they are not clean and I wouldn't trust them with my food. Look at how burnt the egg roll is, that means they use dirty oil to fry them. No telling how long it's been since it's been changed. Do better.

It's ok food, nothing special. Lunch specials are a little small. Had the pepper steak which was good and a small tub of wonton soup.

There is no lower score than one star so I'm stuck with that. I just went there and ordered some dinner and when I brought it home I took one bite and found what appeared to be an inch long black piece of foreign debris that resembled a thick black leg from a grasshopper or perhaps a big long course hair of some sort but definitely not human as it had a bent end with several fibrous pieces.... It resembled an insect leg. I'm not saying that's what it was because I'm not an entomologist and I didn't have a microscope but he was disgusting.I am mediately took the food back to the restaurant and the same person who had taken my order was still there I showed him and he said not to worry it was a bristle from a brush. He disappeared into the kitchen and then brought out a common restaurant brush that had thick brown bristles not resembling the piece that I found in my food at all! I held it up and I showed him that it was not even similar and he mumbled something and went back into the kitchen. I was not offered a refund or anything so I left my food on the counter with the foreign object and ended up paying seven dollars for a fortune cookie and a packet of soy sauce. These are the facts of my story you make your own decision whether to eat here or not. I promise I will never be back.

We stopped in quick to order before running for some quick groceries on Sunday right after their opening at noon. We ordered a lunch size Sweet and Sour Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork, Chicken Egg Foo Young, Szechuan Chicken, egg roll, Crab Rangoon, and Potstickers. Everything was good, crispy, not oily, good flavors, not salty, and done quickly. The Sweet and Sour sauce was good and proper texture, but we liked the chicken and not the pork. Szechuan could have been spicier for mild and will order medium in the future. The Fried Rice was similar the good restaurants we remembered as kids, but could have more veggies. Crab Rangoon was good and crispy, but Potstickers very doughy and would not order them again. All and all we will be back. Very polite employees and quick service.

We have been getting takeout Chinese food from Hunan Express in Aurora for many years. Very friendly and fast service. Great portion sizes and prices are unbeatable. Food is always hot, tasty and excellent. To me their stand out dish is Singapore noodles.

We moved to this area about 6 years ago and our biggest complaint was that there weren't any good Chinese restaurants in the area. We stumbled upon Hunan Express and were pleasantly surprised! There are a few tables, but it's really just a takeout place. We have tried a variety of dishes and all very good. I usually ask for medium spicy for most dishes.

This is one of our easy to access Chinese takeout places and we love it here. No bells and whistles, just good food at a super reasonable price. I know there are places to sit here, but the restaurant itself is usually filled with people getting takeout food. We are strict lo Mein fans and also Cashew chicken fans and as a result, these are the go to's for my family. My nieces love eating the spring rolls and also the wonton soup--a bit too spicy for me. The place is staffed with friendly people and always very clean. Parking is ample and it is never hard to get in and out. Love it here and suggest anyone try it for their Chinese fix.

I just tried Hunan Express for the first time tonight for dinner. I must say that I'm very impressed. As far as Chinese takeout is concerned, this place is great. I ordered the house special spring roll, spare ribs, General Tao's chicken, and pan-fried noodles with beef (I have leftovers). Everything I ate was hot, fresh, and plentiful. The spring roll was excellent and had fresh tasting shrimp inside. The spare ribs were honestly amazing. They were much better than the disappointing ribs I ate from Ol'Chefskis, which is also in Aurora and claims to be Cleveland's best BBQ! The spare ribs at Hunan Express were meaty, flavorful, and as tender as any ribs I've ever had. They were well-trimmed and didn't have a bunch of nasty inedible parts like Ol'Chefskis. The General Tao's chicken was slightly chewy but still tasty. It came with big pieces of perfectly cooked broccoli and steamed white rice. The pan-fried noodles with beef and vegetables had a nice beefy umami flavor. The service was quick, and the gentleman who took my order was polite. The place looked cleaned and organized on the inside. If you live in the area and are in the mood for some Chinese food, make sure to give Hunan Express a try.

This is an excellent restaurant and their hard work and effort needs to be recognized. First off, when ordering through a phone call the staff is absolutely flawless and so polite. The food is so exquisite and the staff always gets the order right. The interior is always clean and there will always be a table open if needed. Overall, a wonderful business and I will be buying again.
