Hamman's Bakery is an overlooked gem. This family-owned bakery is a no frills stop that has been in the area for 25+ years. Don't come here expecting tons of decor and details but expect delicious donuts that rival just as good as anything you've had in a big city. No gimmicks here. They don't need it when their bakery is this enjoyable.My family keeps mentioning that this was the best glazed croissant donut they've ever had. We picked up a dozen for a special occasion and every single one was delicious. Be forewarned that these donuts are definitely on the sweeter side so don't overdue it!Hamman's is located inside a strip mall. The strip mall itself doesn't look like much but don't let that dissuade you. There's a good reason this family run bakery has developed a big following yet still somehow stays under the radar. They're open until they sell out, so if you're driving in, doesn't hurt to call ahead and see what's left. I'll be back when I'm in the area! Delicious!

Best bakery in Vermilion hands down. Such wonderful people and a fantastic value. We will be very sorry to see them close but fully understand you can't keep the magic going forever.

This is definitely the best bakery in the area! Everything is made right on site. They close when they sell out, so even though it may say open until 1:00, don't count on it! Get there early. You can go in person or through the drive-through. We love the donuts, especially the Boston cream and the sticky buns. You can also buy other assorted pastries and bread. They have coffee, but just the basics. Nothing too fancy. If you are in the area, I highly recommend this bakery!

Great local donuts. We were staying in the Vermillion area and this fit the bill for some AM goodness. We were in a bit later and I expect the selection was not what it is normally on a weekend, but there was still lots to choose from.Set a bit farther back off the road, easy to miss.

Unquestionably the best! Every time my family is in town they want Hammans bakery. Their donuts and their German kuchen are the best. But you have to get there early. I highly recommend.

We were visiting the area from Washington, DC, staying nearby, and noticed Hamman's bakery on Yelp. Never ones to pass up a world class donut opportunity, we gave it a try. We've been back 3 times since. First of all, any place operating out of a remote strip mall and selling out of several items by 9:00am must be doing something right. We've tried many items. The donuts are excellent, especially early in the morning, but the standouts by far are the maple glazed creme sticks and the powdered cream sticks -- better than either the vanilla or chocolate glazed variety. I don't even usually like filled donuts, but these are magical. You must try them. Recommended.

The lady at the counter was so very sweet and had such positive energy! The donuts are amazing and have quite a variety.

Over priced and same dough with various toppings added. Two fillings I have tried were not good. To be fair there is no way they could follow the best doughnuts in NE Ohio that the former real Hammods made.
