House of Creole

Server Selah was efficient and personable. Quick came my food on a Tuesday night. The ousters rockefeller were deliciously cheesy with spinach and plenty of flavor served over a bed of greens. The etouffee over fettuccine was also super tasty with plenty of chunks of meat over soft noodles. Very hearty. The blackened chicken salad had plenty of chicken and you could tell the ranch was homemade because it was extra delicious and had buttermilk in it for sure. Overall great experience. Free WiFi. They automatically add an 18% gratuity to your bill so be aware of this ahead of time.

Went to House of Creole for the first time. We had a 5pm reservation. We arrived a little early and were told we couldn't wait in the restaurant because the bartender wasn't there yet. My husband and I decided to walk around outside until our reservation time shortly after. Good customer service would have allowed us to hang out in the waiting area-- not completely get turned away despite it saying they were open online. Despite this hiccup in the beginning, the food was great. The only thing we were disappointed about was the appetizer rolls we ordered only came with two and were $16!! Our server was attentive and the food came out fast. The ambiance was very nice with great music playing. We also was not a fan of the automatic 18% service fee.

Our server was very friendly and attentive. The place is decorated super cute. But their parking is absolutely terrible. There is nowhere nearby the park. I have lived in the city for years, so I am used to downtown parking, but they literally don't even have a lot close. Then it's super confusing to find a place when you walk up. And then when you finally find it, you still have to figure out how to get in. Very small menu wish they had more options. Like literally the menu is one page and half of thepage is drinks. Not even front and back. Even though the food and service was good I don't really feel like it was anything special for the outrageous price I paid so I don't know if I will be back.

We sat at the bar. CiCi was our bartender. She was really nice. The mimosas were really flavorful. We had strawberry,strawberry watermelon, and passionfruit. The deviled eggs and shrimp were fly too. For brunch we had the catfish and grits and the seafood eggroll. Now that creole sauce??? Waaaay to good. Definitely a great experience overall

Nice place, clean and newer looking. We pretty much ran the menu and everyone enjoyed their food. I had jambalaya with rice (there was a pasta option) and it was almost soup. Gumbo was good. Service a little slow and disjointed, drinks didn't come out together, neither did the food. There were seven of us and the bill was north of $300 and only one was drinking (it was happy hour so draft beer was $3, so booze did not add much to the bill).

Great open space with an inviting wait staff. Came here before a baseball game and was able to get a quick seat. That said my husband enjoyed the seafood ettouffe but only saw shrimp, no crab. Also limited rice so it was very soupy. Hurricane was good as well. Was a little odd that they had a sign on the table that gratuity was included but then it wasn't on the receipt. We almost didn't tip because of the confusion. Great space but don't know if we would come back.

Food was sooo good ! I will definitely be back again so we started off with the surf and turf eggrolls and they were phenomenal so flavorful. For my entrée meal I decided to go with the steak, seasoned to perfection I'm a med well type of girl myself and it was cooked with love I could taste it!

Walking distance from out Airbnb! Great choice to try! Got there during happy hour. Food came out quickly. Wine choices at $5 a glass. Our server was pleasant and attentive. The space was nice. Not to many in the restaurant so services went smoothly. So many options to choose from. We decided on a few small plates and two main dish. OMG! Delicious!

Been to the House of Creole 6 or 7 times and everything and everyone has been great. I love food from the NOLA Cajun flavors and finally found one. Love itReggie Langhorne
